From the Pastor Desk –
SUNDAY, December 5th 2021 / 2nd SUNDAY OF ADVENT
“ALL WILL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD.”
- To create a community of love, to collaborate in its
improvement as a fundamental sign of conversion. Baptism
and Eucharist are the two visible signs of transformation, that
is, of having passed from death to life.
- In turn, as the sacrament of community, the Eucharist
anticipates this transformed reality of a reconciled humanity.
- In the first reading, Prophet Baruch speaks to the
people after the last exile in terms of hope to return to the light
of God in their lives and no longer break the commandments.
- He resorts to the figure of Jerusalem to personify the
great symbol of God’s power.
- In the second reading, Paul exhorts the people to
walk clean and blameless before God, laden with the fruits of
righteousness, through Jesus Christ and the glory and praise of
God
- Today’s Gospel invites us to Salvation as a gift from God
for all those who do his holy will, as men of Faith and Mercy. Here
John the Baptistspeaks of conversion to achieve the forgiveness
of sins; therefore, this coming Saturday, November 11, we will
have confessions within the Advent Spiritual Retreat from 1000
am to 12:30 pm. In the Valero Hall. Welcome everyone, because
the Lord has come to bring us Peace and Salvation.
- Thank you to the families who are reserved the
CHRISTMAS STAR so that this homage that we offer you from
your parish will bring blessings and peace to your homes before
the new year 2022.
- I want to invite you to join us this Tuesday, December
7 at 7 pm, in front of the church and on the corner of 93rd
and 35th, praying the Holy Rosary with lighted lanterns and
INAUGURATE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTING before entering the
church for the Solemn Eucharist in Honor of the Immaculate
Conception, her Feast.
- I also welcome all of you to celebrate the Feast of St.
Juan Diego on Thursday, December 9 at 7 pm and celebrate the
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, December 11 and

Domingo, Diciembre 5 2021 / Segundo domingo de Adviento
“TODOS VERÁN LA SALVACIÓN DE DIOS”.
- Crear una comunidad de amor, colaborar en su
edificación es un signo fundamental de conversión. Entonces
el Bautismo y la Eucaristía serán dos signos de conversión, es
decir, de haber pasado de la muerte a la vida.
- Todos hemos de buscar lo que está por encima de
todos en medio de las adversidades y situaciones de vida que
tenemos: “A Ti, Señor levanto mi alma, Dios mío, en Ti confío”.
- A su vez, la Eucaristía, Como sacramento de la
comunidad, nos anticipa de esa realidad transformada de una
humanidad reconciliada.
- En la primera lectura el profeta Baruc le habla al
pueblo luego del ultimo exilio en términos de esperanza, para
que vuelvan a la Luz de Dios en sus vidas y no quebranten
mas los mandamientos y recurre a la figura de Jerusalén para
personificar el gran símbolo del poder de Dios .
- Hoy los signos del final de la venida se anticipan en el
juicio que realiza el hombre cuando sabe discernir entre lo justo
y lo injusto, lo autentico y lo falso, lo verdadero o lo engañoso.
Ese juicio se hace también en la Eucaristía, donde la Palabra
penetra hasta el fondo de los corazones como espada de dos
filos.
- Finalmente, como nota complementaria a nuestra
Preparación y Reencuentro con Jesús en este nuevo Adviento
y Navidad que se hemos empezado, les invito para que cada
familia reserve una estrella para iluminar desde nuestra
parroquia a todas nuestras familias y orar por cada una de
manera especial y en recuerdo a tantos seres queridos que han
partido a la casa del Padre.
- No olviden asistir a nuestro RETIRO ANUAL DE
ADVIENTO, que tendremos en el Salón Valero el día Sábado 11
de diciembre desde las 7:30 am hasta la 1:30 pm. Pueden traer
algo para compartir. Gracias.
