SUNDAY, March 20 th 2022 / “3rd THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT”
“THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT
“A FOUNTAIN OF WATER
SPRINGING UP TO ETERNAL LIFE”
- Today we glimpse the History of Salvation and the
manifestation of God or Yahweh to Moses in the burning bush
on Mount Horeb to entrust the liberation of the Hebrew people
enslaved in Egypt. We see that the Savior has many names;
today he is called “He Who I Am” as the God of his fathers
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Today reality points out what the
name means.
- The life of the people with Moses in the desert was
written day by day as an example to us, given their condition of
sin, idolatry and disobedience to the commandments of God,
who appears and accompanies all their vicissitudes throughout
40 years.
- In the Gospel of the day, we have the beautiful story
of the Samaritan woman. In this episode the Messiah presents
himself as the man who tells us everything we have done. A
church, which closes in on itself and only knows how to read
its family documents, betrays its founder. The Messiah, who is
attentive to all human reality and knows how to understand it
as it is: “Whoever drinks of this water will never thirst again,
for the water that I give will spring up to eternal life”
- We must remember that true worship is in trusting
God in spite of the trials of the desert of life. Jesus has a food
that brings him into communion with God. His food is to do the
will of the one who sent him. Every time in daily life he obeys
the Word of the Father, it is as if he is celebrating the liturgy
of sitting at table with Him and celebrating true communion
together.
- Let us remember that our acts of piety during Lent,
have been implemented with Fasting, Abstinence, Prayer and
Works of Mercy; therefore, every time we gather for the Holy
Stations of the Cross, let us complete this beautiful spiritual
exercise by practicing these forms of spiritual enrichment in
our parish and invite other brothers and sisters to participate.

“UN SURTIDOR DE AGUA QUE SALTA
HASTA LA VIDA ETERNA”
”
- Hoy vislumbramos la Historia de la Salvación y la
manifestación de Dios o Yave a Moisés en la zarza ardiente
en el monte Horeb para encomendar la liberación del pueblo
hebreo esclavo en Egipto. Vemos que el Salvador tiene muchos
nombres; hoy se denomina “El que Soy” como el Dios de sus
padres Abraham, Isaac y Jacob. Hoy la realidad señala lo que el
nombre significa.
- La vida del pueblo con Moisés en el desierto fue escrita
día a día para escarmiento nuestro, dado su condición de
pecado, idolatría y desobediencia a los mandamientos de Dios,
el cual se aparece y acompaña todas sus vicisitudes a lo largo de
40 años.
- En el evangelio del día, tenemos la bella historia de la
mujer Samaritana. En este episodio el Mesías se presenta como
el hombre que nos dice todo lo que hemos hecho. Una iglesia,
que se encierra en si misma y solo sabe leer sus documentos de
familia, traiciona a su fundador. El Mesías, el cual está atento a
toda la realidad humana y sabe comprender tal cual es: “El que
beba de esta agua, nunca volverá a tener sed; pues el agua que
yo doy, brotará hasta la vida eterna”.
- Hemos de recordar que el verdadero culto está en
confiar en Dios a pesar de las pruebas del desierto de la vida.
Jesús tiene un alimento que le hace entrar en comunión con
Dios. Su comida es hacer la voluntad del que le envió. Cada vez
que en la vida diaria obedece a la Palabra del Padre, es como
si celebrara la liturgia de sentarse a la mesa con El y celebrar
juntos una comunión verdadera.
- Recordemos que nuestros actos de piedad durante la
Cuaresma, han implementarse con el Ayuno, la Abstinencia,
la Oración y las Obras de Misericordia; por lo tanto, cada vez
que nos reunamos para el Santo Viacrucis, completemos este
hermoso ejercicio espiritual practicando estas formas de
enriquecimiento espiritual en nuestra parroquia e invitemos a
otros hermanos para que participen
