“FEAST OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST”
“They all ate and were satisfied”
WE CELEBRATE THE 93rd ANNIVERSARY OF OUR
PARISH
- With the Honor done to us by our Beloved Diocesan Bishop,
Most Rev. Robert Brennan, we gather today to Cele-brate with
great joy the 93rd Anniversary of Blessed Sacra-ment Church, with a
Solemn Bilingual Mass that we will Con-celebrate at 1:30 pm with the
Priests and Deacon of the Par-ish. Thanks to God and this beautiful
community of faithful for their dedication and participation
throughout these years in this noble corner of Jackson Heights.
- We know that our human life is full of presences, some
visible and others invisible; some near and others far away; but
today, in the feast that we celebrate, we see how the pres-ence of
God has taken palpable and tangible form in Jesus: “He has become
incarnate in the Eucharistic Species, in the form of Bread and Wine”.
- In the First Reading the priest of the Most High acknowledges and praises God who gave victory to Abraham. He took out
bread and wine, blessing him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of
each.
- Every Eucharistic Celebration is a proclamation of the Lord’s
death, until at last he returns. For I am the Living Bread which came
down from heaven, says the Lord; and whoever eats of this bread
will live forever. Alleluia.
- The narrative of the miracle of the loaves and fishes presented to us in the Gospel of the day is a symbol of the Eucha-rist.
With this, St. John and today’s Liturgy want to tell us that our
Eucharistic celebrations should not multiply if at the same time
around us and with our encouragement and collaboration as
Christians, the food and our eagerness to serve the poorest and
most helpless of the world did not multiply.
- The abundance, the sharing of goods, is a sign that the spirit
of Jesus is in the midst of men. Just as He gave Himself unreservedly
and abundantly, we must give ourselves to our brothers and sisters
in order to achieve a fraternal coexistence.
- CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR COMMUNITY FOR THIS
WONDERFUL GIFT OF 93 YEARS OF PARISH LIFE OF THE BLESSED
SACRAMENT AS WELL AS TO ALL THE PRIESTS, DEACONS AND
MINISTERS WHO THROUGHOUT THESE YEARS HAVE GIVEN THEIR
LIVES AND TIME OF SERVICE IN HONOR AND GLO-RY TO OUR GOD,
IN THE MIDST OF A WONDERFUL CHANGING AND PERSEVERING
COMMUN
- Note: We will celebrate this coming Friday, June 24th the feast in
honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a Bilin-gual Mass at 9:00 am
followed by the Holy Hour, in charge of the Pastor; and on Saturday
we will have the Mass in Honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
with the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin and the 8:00 am Mass.

CELEBRAMOS NUESTRO 93 ANIVERSARIO DE
NUESTRA PARROQUIA
- Con el Honor que nos hace nuestro Querido Obispo
Diocesano, Excmo. Monseñor. Robert Brennan, nos Reunimos hoy
para Celebrar con mucha alegría nuestro 93th Aniversario de la
Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento, con una Solemne Eucaristía
Bilingüe que Concelebraremos a la 1:30 pm con los Sacerdotes y
Diacono de la Parroquia. Gracias a Dios y esta hermosa comunidad
de fieles por su entrega y participación a lo largo de estos años en
esta noble esquina de Jackson Heights NY.
- En la Primera lectura el sacerdote del Altísimo reconoce
y alaba a Dios que dio la victoria a Abrahán. Saco pan y vino
Bendiciéndolo y Abrahán le dio un décimo de cada cosa.
Cada Celebración Eucarística es una proclamación de la muerte del
Señor, hasta que por fin vuelva. Pues, Yo Soy el Pan Vivo que ha
bajado del cielo, dice el Señor; y el que coma de este pan vivirá para
siempre. Aleluya.
- La narración del milagro de los panes y de los peces que
nos presenta el Evangelio del día es un símbolo de la Eucaristía. Con
esto nos quiere decir San Juan y la Liturgia de hoy, que nuestras
celebraciones Eucarísticas no se deberían multiplicar si al mismo
tiempo a nuestro alrededor y con nuestro estimulo y colaboración
de cristianos, no se multiplicara la comida y nuestro afán de servir a
los mas pobres y desamparados del mundo.
- La abundancia, el reparto de bienes, es un signo de que el
espíritu de Jesús esta en medio de los hombres. Lo mismo que El
se entrega sin reservas y con creces, debemos entregarnos a los
hermanos para conseguir una convivencia frate
- FELICIDADES A TODA NUESTRA COMUNIDAD POR ESTE
MARAVILLOSO REGALO DE LOS 93 ANOS DE VIDA PARROQUIAL DEL
STMO SACRAMENTO AL IGUAL QUE PARA TODOS LOS SACERDOTES,
DIACONOS Y MINISTROS QUE A LO LARGO DE ESTOS ANOS HAN
ENTREGADO SUS VIDAS Y TIEMPO DE SERVICIO EN HONOR Y GLORIA
A NUESTRO DIOS, EN ME-DIO DE UNA MARAVILLOSA COMUNIDAD
CAMBIANTE Y PERSEVERANTE. GRACIAS A TODOS.
- Nota: Celebraremos este próximo viernes, 24 de junio la fiesta en
honor al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús con Misa Bilingüe a las 9:00
am seguida de la Hora Santa, a cargo del Párroco; y el día sábado
tendremos la Misa en Honor al Inmaculado Corazón de María, con la
Cofradía de la Santísima Virgen y la Misa de las 8:00 am
