Reconciliation or the Sacrament of Penance
Confessions at Blessed Sacrament Church are offered every Saturday, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon and from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Penance is a Sacrament in which the sins committed after Baptism are forgiven.
1. Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against Him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their
conversion.
2. Children
Children in preparation for first Holy Communion will do the sacrament of penance before they
receive. Classes begin in September and end in June.
Please download the registration form and return the completed document to the Faith Formation offices. A copy of both the Baptismal
certificate and Birth certificate must be submitted along with the registration form.
Adults
Adults must attend the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process.
The journey is one of conversion, preparation and formation. After having sufficient reflection on entering the
Catholic Church, baptized adults before receiving First Holy Communion will go to confession.
