SUNDAY, March 27 th 2022 / “4th THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT”
“THIS BROTHER OF YOURS WAS DEAD AND HAS
COME BACK TO LIFE” (SUNDAY OF JOY)
- We remember in the first reading the feast that the
people of God made when they arrived in the Promised Land,
celebrating the liberation as a reward for so many years of
slavery in Egypt. They celebrated the Passover when they left
and when they entered the Promised Land. Today they will no
longer need the manna or the quails, but the best delicacy that
they begin to taste in the faithful fulfillment of the promises
made by God for all of them. “The harvest of the land of
Canaan”. Today they will all be able to say again: Taste and see
how good the Lord is. (Psalm 33).
- The second reading from St. Paulto the Corinthianstells
us that faith in Christ brings with it an attitude of openness to
the new. God reveals himself through history in the new events
of each day. Therefore, our faith is a faith in our daily God, for
“He who belongsto Christ is a new creature. The old has passed
away, the new has begun”.
- Today in the Gospel we can say, that this, more than the
parable of the “prodigal son”, is the parable of the “believing
son”, because many times we Christians have felt like the
privileged of the world since we have built a society where only
believers were first class citizens. We also reflect on the words
of the father: “Son, you are always with me and all that is mine
is yours”.
- What a good moment in this week of Lent, to feel the
Joy of knowing that we have a loving, tender and merciful
God, who never abandons us in spite of our infidelities. We
rememberthat, in Christ’s death, God wasreconciling the world
to himself, without asking for an account of its sins. Today’s
Mass is the Feast of the return of the prodigal son.
- Remember to attend next Saturday, APRIL 2 to the
SPIRITUAL RETREAT that we will begin in the Valero Hall at
7:15AM with the prayer ofthe Holy Rosary and the 8:00AM Mass
and after breakfast we will have a day of prayer, exposition and
workshops until 3:00PM, ending with the ROSARY OF MERCY.

- Let’s prepare our home and soul for a spiritual
cleansing and a good confession before HOLY TUESDAY. Then
we will be able to celebrate a Holy Week as God commands.

Domingo, Marzo 27 2022 / “CUARTO DOMINGO DE CUARESMA”
“ESTE HERMANO TUYO ESTABA MUERTO Y HA
REVIVIDO” (DOMINGO DE LA ALEGRIA)
- Recordamos en la primera la lectura la fiesta que
hizo el pueblo de Dios cuando llegaron a la tierra prometida,
celebrando la liberación como recompensa a tantos anos de
esclavitud en Egipto. Celebraron la Pascua a la salida y a la
entrada en la tierra prometida. Hoy ya no necesitarán más del
maná ni de las codornices, sino del mejor manjar que empiezan
a degustar en el fiel cumplimiento de las promesas hechas por
Dios para todos ellos. “La cosecha de la tierra de Canaán”.
Hoy podrán todos volver a decir: Gustad y ved que bueno es el
Señor. (Salmo 33).
- La segunda lectura de San Pablo a los Corintios nos
dice que la fe en Cristo lleva consigo una actitud abierta a
lo nuevo. Dios se va revelando a través de la Historia en los
acontecimientos nuevos de cada día. Por eso, nuestra fe
es una fe en el Dios nuestro de cada día., pues “El que es de
Cristo es una criatura nueva. Lo antiguo ha pasado, lo nuevo ha
comenzado”.
- Hoy en el Evangelio podemos decir, que ésta, más que
la parábola del “hijo pródigo”, es la parábola del “hijo creído”,
pues muchas veces los cristianos nos hemos sentido como los
privilegiados del mundo puesto que hemos construido una
sociedad donde solamente los creyentes fueron ciudadanos
de primera clase. Reflexionamos también en las palabras del
padre: “Hijo, tu siempre estas conmigo y todo lo que es mío es
tuyo”.
- Que buen momento en esta semana de la Cuaresma,
sentir la Alegría de saber que tenemos un Dios amoroso, tierno
y misericordioso, que nunca nos abandona a pesar de nuestras
infidelidades. Recordamos que, en la muerte de Cristo, Dios
estaba reconciliando al mundo consigo, sin pedirle cuenta de
sus pecados. Hoy la Misa esla Fiesta delregreso del hijo pródigo.
- Recuerden asistir el próximo sábado, 2 de ABRIL al
RETIRO ESPIRITUAL que iniciaremos en el Salón Valero a las
7:15am con el rezo del Santo Rosario y la Misa de las 8:00am y
luego del desayuno tendremosjornada de oración, exposiciones
y talleres hasta las 3:00pm, terminando con el ROSARIO DE LA
MISERICORDIA. ¡Bienvenidos!
- Preparemos nuestra casa y nuestra alma para una
limpieza espiritual y una buena confesión antes del MARTES
SANTO. Así podremos celebrar una Semana Santa como Dios
manda.
