Pastor Desk JULY 5 “AT YOUR NAME OH GOD, YOUR PRAISE, COMES TO THE END OF THE EARTH”

From the Pastor Desk –

SUNDAY, JUNE 28

“AT YOUR NAME OH GOD, YOUR PRAISE,
COMES TO THE END OF THE EARTH”

  • The readings of this Sunday invite us to leave the
domain of oppressive power through penance,
    conversion and reconciliation. T
he prophet Zechariah invites us to “shout for joy”; the
    descendant of King David comes
humble and peaceful riding a donkey.

  • We consecrate
ourselves to our Nino Rey to whom we will pay all honor
and glory for ever and ever.
“I will bless your name forever, my King and my God.”
In the second reading “Spirit and flesh” do not correspond
to soul and body, but to man when he lets himself
be guided by the inspirations of the Holy Spirit.
It affirms that whoever lives by the Spirit will not allow the
temporal realities of the flesh to determine their choices
    and they will live eternally.

  • In the Gospel, Jesus thanks the Father,” Lord of
heaven and earth”, who has revealed Himself to the
most humble and simple people: “Come to me, all you
who are labored and burdened and I will give you rest.”
Today, in a special way, I want to thank everyone, my
sheep, for your prayers and manifestations of affection
on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of my ordination
to the priesthood and for this first year as your Parish
    Administrator.

  • I invite you to consecrate yourselves this July to Our
Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá, Queen of Colombia.
As a family, we will meet here in our parish to celebrate
her feast day on Thursday, July 9, beginning with the Holy
Rosary at 7:00 pm followed by the Solemn Eucharist. We
will ask her to intercede for peace in the world,
the protection of our families, and for the people affected
    by COVID – 19.

  • I also invite you to join us at Mass on
Monday, July 20, to celebrate Colombia’s Independence
Day. Welcome everyone, to your spiritual home,

Blessings,
Father Gabriel Jaime Toro R – Parish Administrator

Blessed Sacrament Church, Queens

            • Fraternalmente
Bendiciones, Padre Gabriel Jaime Toro R – Administrador Parroquial
