SUNDAY, October 31th 2021
“LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART”
- Today we see in the Sunday readings how the two
commandments, to love God and to love our neighbor go hand
in hand. The priesthood of Jesus brings us into communion
with God who is love. We see then how a single commandment
synthesizes the whole law and surpasses it, insofar as it is poured
into letter; Love is what gives true well-being to the world and
therein lies the root of salvation; for there is salvation only in
God, not in idols. “Fear the Lord your God and the precepts he
commands you and so you will prolong your life”.
- The second reading reminds us that the priesthood of
Christ is eschatological, that is, beyond the visible, it is eternal.
We minister all participate in the one priesthood of Christ, we
do not supplant it: “Because he endures forever, he has the
priesthood that does not pass away”.
- In the Gospel, Jesus, who habitually denounced the
falsehood and hypocrisy of the scribes, has no objection to
receive a scribe and recognize that he was not far from the
Kingdom of God. We must be pure, but not puritanical: which
commandment is the first of all?
- In conclusion, we can say that God is Love and God’s
Love is poured out among men when they love each other or
come together to proclaim the primacy of God.
- May we all be able to conjugate again today the verb to
love wholeheartedly and put it into practice.
- Today I would like to congratulate all the young
people who have participated in this cultural event that we
are celebrating in our parish on the occasion of the month of
Hispanic Heritage and Children’s Day. Also, to all the young
people who are attending the Youth Group on Fridays from 7:00
pm to 9:00 pm in the San Juan Bosco Hall with our coordinator,
Mrs. Laura Ramirez. Thanks to the support of the families.
- Welcome to celebrate the Feast of All Saints tomorrow,
Monday, and the Feast of the Faithful Departed on Tuesday.
Let us pray for them and make suffrages for their eternal rest
during the month of November.

“AMARÁS AL SEÑOR CON
TODO TU CORAZÓN”
- Hoy vemos en las lecturas dominicales como los dos
mandamientos, amar a Dios y amar al prójimo van de la mano.
El sacerdocio de Jesús nos lleva a la comunión con Dios que es
amor. Vemos entonces como un solo mandamiento sintetiza
toda la ley y la rebasa, en cuanto vertida en letra; el Amor es
lo que da verdadero bienestar al mundo y allí radica la raíz de
la salvación; pues solo hay salvación en Dios, no en los ídolos.
“Teme al Señor tu Dios y a los preceptos que te manda y así
prolongaras tu vida”.
- La segunda lectura nos recuerda que el sacerdocio de
Cristo es escatológico, o sea, más allá de lo visible, es eterno.
Los ministros todos participamos del único sacerdocio de
Cristo, no lo suplantamos: “Como permanece para siempre,
tiene el sacerdocio que no pasa”.
- En el Evangelio, Jesús, que habitualmente denunciaba
la falsedad e hipocresía de los escribas, no tiene ningún
inconveniente en recibir a un escriba y reconocer que no estaba
lejos del Reino de Dios. Hay que ser puros, pero no puritanos:
¿Qué mandamiento es el primero de todos?
- En conclusión, podemos decir, que Dios es Amor y el
Amor de Dios se derrama entre los hombres cuando se aman
entre sí o se reúnen para proclamar la primacía de Dios.
- Ojalá podamos hoy todos conjugar de nuevo el verbo
Amar de todo corazón y ponerlo en práctica.
- Quiero felicitar hoy a todos los jovencitos que han
participado de este evento cultural que celebramos en nuestra
parroquia con motivo del mes de la Hispanidad y el día de
los niños. También a todos los jóvenes que están asistiendo
al grupo Juvenil los días viernes de 7:00 pm a 9:00 pm en el
Salón San Juan Bosco con nuestra coordinadora, La Sra. Laura
Ramírez. Gracias al apoyo de las familias.
- Bienvenidos a Celebra mañana Lunes la Fiesta de todos
los Santos y el martes a conmemorar el día de los fieles difuntos.
Oremos por ellos y hagamos sufragios por su eterno descanso
durante el mes de noviembre.
- Saludo caluroso para todos ustedes con mi Bendición.
