“ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN TO YOU”
- Today we say to the Lord, Teach us to pray, as John taught
his disciples. Let us remember that the Christian’s prayer always has
two unavoidable parts. The total acceptance of God as Father and
the second, the confidence in what we specifically ask, and we see
this very clearly in Abraham’s continuous requests to God regarding
the people, and he challenges Him saying: Are you going to destroy
the innocent? by the culprit? therefore, when I called on you, Lord,
you heard me.
- The Second Reading reminds us that, through the Baptism,
God has forgiven us all our sins. We were dead, but God gave us
new life in Him, erasing the protocol that condemned us by dying
for everyone on the cross.
- In the Gospel of the day, Jesus gives us the “Our Father” as
a divine gift that attunes us to all that God is for us and the ways in
which He manifests Himself to us at every moment: “Give us this day
our daily bread” and for the Holy Spirit all we need daily
- Let us remember that our life must be a continuous prayer
dominated by the will of the Father who is in heaven. In the Eucharist
we live the perfect dimension of our dialogue with God whom we
bless, praise, beg and give thanks for his salvation.
- Today I want to personally thank the various directors and
parish groups for their presence and cooperation yesterday, for
their service and generosity in the summer sharing that we had in
the parish parking lot and for their presence at the Celebration of
the Divine Child Jesus . I congratulate the organizing committee and
the community for their generous response

Señor, me escuchaste.
