Pastor Desk | 2nd SUNDAY OF LENT | March 13th 2022

From the Pastor Desk –

SUNDAY, March 13th 2022 / “2nd FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT”

“IN THE TRANSFIGURATION GOD CALLS US AND
ENLIGHTENS US”

  • This Second Sunday of Lent suggests to us the idea that
in life it is only possible to transform ourselves and the world if
we keep in mind the goal we want to reach and if we never lose
hope in a better future that awaits us: “I hear in my heart, seek
my face, I will seek your face, Lord”.

  • In the first reading of the day, God makes a covenant
with Abraham, the believer; for faith gives possession of
what no work can attain. Abraham receives signs and in them
security. He shows them to him in a rite. In which God commits
himself to the one who believes and hopes. Today those who
recognize themselves as children of Abraham give reason to
    their hope.

  • With joy and hope Christ will transform us according to
the model of his glorious body, with that energy he possesses
to submit everything to him. So then, my joy and my crown,
stand firm in the Lord,” the second reading reminds us

  •  In the event of the Transfiguration, the voice of God
that supports Jesus, although it certainly comes from on high,
does not manifest itself in a dazzling way. The believer who
accepts this voice will encounter Jesus alone: no haloes, no
special signs, no miracles… only Him spiritually, who fills and
transforms our life into something better.

  • This week, we enter into communication with the
transfigured body of Christ. The resurrection has given Him the
    power to have a glorious body, to enter into a new condition;
for He has inaugurated in the world the new earth and the new
heaven that awaits all His children. I invite you to meditate on
when and how the Lord has touched us, has forgiven us and
has given us back the peace lost, perhaps, because of so many
adverse situations? “The Lord has come to bring us peace, the
Lord is here, the Lord is with us”.

Domingo, Marzo 13 2022 / “SEGUNDO DOMINGO DE CUARESMA”

“EN LA TRANSFIGURACIÓN DIOS NOS LLAMA Y NOS
ILUMINA”

    poder tener un cuerpo glorioso, entrar en una condición nueva;
