SUNDAY, May 1st 2022 / “THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER”
“Jesus said to his disciples, Come, eat. And he
took bread and gave it to them.” Alleluia. ”
- Today we remember, dear brothers and sisters, that
Faith is a personal encounter with Christ, which takes place and
develops in the path of ordinary life. Today we face the Mission
that the Risen Jesus assigns to Peter as Prince of the Church and
the Shepherd who will henceforth govern the destinies of his
entrusted ministry. At his side, that of all his disciples and chosen
people renewed at the font of baptism.
- The first reading of the day reminds us that we are
witnesses of the Resurrection through the power of the Holy
Spirit given to those who obey him: “We must obey God rather
than men,” Peter answered the High Priest when he questioned
him.
- The second reading reminds us that Christ is the center
of the universe; therefore, we cannot disregard the acclamations
of the rest of the creatures with the pretension of being the only
ones: “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and
riches forever and ever.”
- In the Gospel scene in which Peter is given the first
vestment of the Church, it takes place in a simple, everyday
setting, without the sumptuousness that over the years had
become the cancer of the Church: “I tell you, Peter, when you
were young, you girded yourself and went where you wanted to
go; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and
another will gird you and take you where you do not want to
go.”
- In the encounter with Jesus today, none of the disciples
dared to ask him who he was because they knew He was the
Lord. He is always with us, and although we do not see him, we
know it by Faith. He is in the Eucharist. He is at our side in the
Mission to spread the Gospel in the world. Alleluia.
- Dear brothers and sisters, from here, with much

Domingo, Mayo 1 2022 / “TERCER DOMINGO DE PASCUA”
“Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Vamos, Comed. Y tomo
el Pan y se los dio”. Aleluya.
- Hoy recordamos queridos hermanos que la Fe es un
encuentro personal con Cristo, que se produce y se desarrolla en
el camino de la vida ordinaria. Hoy nos situamos ante la Misión
que Jesús resucitado le asigna a Pedro como Príncipe de la
Iglesia y el Pastor que en adelante habrá de regir los destinos de
su ministerio confiado, y a su lado, el de todos sus discípulos y
pueblo elegido y renovado en las fuentes del bautismo.
- La primera lectura del día nos recuerda que somos
testigos de la Resurrección por el poder del Espíritu Santo que
se nos ha dado a quienes le obedecen: “Hay que obedecer a Dios
antes que a los hombres” le respondió Pedro al Sumo sacerdote
cuando lo interrogó.
- La segunda lectura nos recuerda que Cristo es el centro
del universo; por lo tanto, no podemos desoír las aclamaciones
del resto de las criaturas con la pretensión de ser los únicos:
“Digno es el Cordero degollado de recibir el Poder y la Riqueza
por los siglos de los siglos”.
- En la escena del evangelio, en la que a Pedro se le confiere
la primera vestidura de la iglesia, se desarrolla dentro de un
marco sencillo y cotidiano, sin la suntuosidad que con los años
se ha convertido como el cáncer de la iglesia: “Te lo aseguro,
Pedro, que cuando eras joven, tú mismo te cenias e ibas a donde
querías; pero, cuando seas viejo, extenderás las manos, otro te
ceñirá y te llevará a donde no quieras”
- En el encuentro con Jesús hoy, ninguno de los discípulos
se atrevía a preguntarle, quién era, porque sabían que era el
Señor. Él está siempre con nosotros, y aunque no lo vemos,
lo sabemos por la Fe. Y no está solo en la Eucaristía, sino en el
trabajo de la vida, en ese esfuerzo por extender su misión en el
mundo, el Señor también está presente. Aleluya.
- Mi cordial Saludo de Pascua para todos y cada uno
de ustedes, que son parte vital de nuestra parroquia y de los
servicios pastorales que desde aquí les ofrecemos con mucho
cariño y respeto. Gracias por su participación y presencia en
nuestra Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento, y de igual manera
por sus aportes para el sostenimiento del culto y mantenimiento
en general.
