From the Pastor Desk –
SUNDAY, JANUARY 23th 2021
Jesus comes to us today so that justice and the Kingdom of
God may reign among men: “Convert and believe in the Good
News: God is good and merciful, He is the only God, close to the
poor and to those in need of justice”.
- Let us remember that conversion does not take place
exclusively within the heart, but takes its roots in the faith,
hope and charity, and also in the mature conscience of each
one, in order to live and develop it in the best way through our
apostolate and coherent testimony of life in Jesus.
- Of course, no one is converted by imposition, but by
direct invitation of the Spirit of Jesus who calls us, justifies us,
and forgives our sins to grant us the gift of Peace and general
harmony in the performance of our daily activities.
- In the first reading, Jonah began to enter the city,
proclaiming: “In forty days Nineveh will be destroyed. The
Ninevites believed in God and repented”. We, as Christians
men, are committed to the concerns of this world, but always
as if not: “Those who have wives, live as if they had none, those
who mourn as if they did not mourn… for the Kingdom of God
is at hand: be converted and believe in the Gospel.
.
- Once John was arrested, Jesus continued to proclaim
the kingdom of God and calling us to a faithful and steadfast
in our lives: “Come with me and I will make you fishers of men.
When He called, they left everything and followed him. Now
we should think about how we are following the Lord in the
midst of everything? Have we left everything to follow Him?
Yes? or No? When and How?
Today, we welcome Jesus into our lives to walk with Him in
search of Rich spiritual life, sanctifying grace and commitment
to life in values, gifts and charisms.
- Brothers and Sisters, I would like to express my
gratitude to all the Lay Ministries and parish groups for their
faithful dedication to the service they provide with dignity in
favor of our Community and for their openness to the Pastor,
Priests and Pastoral Directors in each group.

Nueva: Dios es bueno y Misericordioso, Único, cercano a los
pobres y a los más necesitados de justicia”..

- Recordemos que la conversión no se da exclusivamente
en el interior del corazón, sino que se enraíza, como la fe, la
esperanza y la caridad en la conciencia madura y adulta de
cada uno, para vivir y desarrollarla de la mejor manera a través
de nuestro apostolado y testimonio coherente de vida en
Jesús. Por supuesto, nadie se convierte por imposición sino por
invitación directa del Espíritu de Jesús que nos convoca, nos
justifica, perdonando nuestros pecados para concedernos el
don de la Paz y la armonía general en el desempeño de nuestras
actividades. En la primera lectura, comenzó Jonás a entrar por
la ciudad, proclamando: “Dentro de cuarenta días Nínive será
destruida. Creyeron en Dios los Ninivitas y se arrepintieron”.-
- Los cristianos hemos de ser hombres comprometidos
en las preocupaciones de este mundo, pero siempre como si
no: “Los que tienen mujer vivan como si no las tuvieran, los que
lloran, como si no lloraran… pues esta cerca el Reino de Dios:
Convertíos y creed en el Evangelio.
- Una vez que fue arrestado Juan, Jesús continúa
proclamando el reino de Dios y convocándonos al seguimiento
fiel y firme en nuestras vidas: “Vengan conmigo y os haré
pescadores de hombres”. Y a lo que llamo, dejaron todo y
lo siguieron. ¿Ahora debemos pensar como ha sido nuestro
seguimiento al Señor en medio de todo? ¿Hemos dejado todo
por seguir al Señor? Si, No, ¿Cuándo y Como?
- Los cristianos hemos de ser hombres comprometidos

- Hoy acogemos a Jesús en nuestras vidas de manera
especial y caminamos con El en busca de todo aquello que
el mundo no nos ofrece: Riqueza de vida espiritual, Gracia
Santificante y compromiso de vida en valores, dones y carismas. - Quiero expresar mi agradecimiento a todos los
Ministerios Laicales y grupos parroquiales por su fiel entrega
al servicio que prestan dignamente en favor de nuestra
Comunidad y por la receptividad con el Pastor, Sacerdotes y
Directores de Pastoral en cada grupo.
- Hoy acogemos a Jesús en nuestras vidas de manera
