SUNDAY, AUGUST 9th
“Lord, remember your covenant, do not forget
the fate of your poor people any longer. Arise,
Lord, to defend your cause, do not forget the
voices of those who seek you “
- The Word of this Sunday makes us see the mistakes we
make due to a lack of humility and the desire for greatness
that sometimes surrounds us. This is precisely what dulls
us before the magnificence of the Lord. The first reading
reminds us of the passage of God through a soft breeze,
next to the prophet Elíjah, who when feeling it covered his
face with his cloak and left the cave. In the second reading,
Paul affirms that he wanted to be separated from Christ,
if this were for the good of his brothers; for we are all
descendants of Christ who is above all, and is God blessed
forever. How have you felt the passage of Jesus through
your life on any special occasion?

- Let us remember that we are not gods, we are simply
human beings; there is our greatness, our limitations, and
the infinite possibilities of our being authentic disciples of
Jesus. Today I invite all ministers and servers to be closer
to the Lord, not only at Sunday Mass, nor in the daily
holy rosary, but close to Him in the Tabernacle; to feed
our faith and ask him privately for all that we need to be
better children and disciples. - What attitudes of deification, have we fallen into
recently? What situations have they led us to? Who have
we affected? - With my affection and blessing I extend my fraternal
greeting to all families and the parish community,
especially to the new guests of our online and website

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“Acuérdate, Señor, de tu alianza, no olvides por
más tiempo la suerte de tus pobres. Levántate,
Señor, a defender tu causa, no olvides las voces
de los que te buscan”
- La Palabra de este domingo nos hace ver los errores que
cometemos por falta de humildad y por el deseo de grandeza
que a veces nos ronda y es eso precisamente lo que nos opaca
ante la Magnificencia del Señor. Este hecho nos recuerda el
paso de Dios a través de una brisa suave al lado de profeta
Elías, quien, al sentirlo, se cubrió el rostro con el manto y
salió de la cueva, dice la primera lectura…. Y Pablo afirma
que hasta quisiera verse separado de Cristo, si esto fuera
para bien de mis hermanos; pues todos somos descendientes
de Cristo el cual está por encima de todo y es Dios bendito
por los siglos de los siglos. ¿Y tú, como has sentido el paso de
Jesús por tu vida en alguna ocasión especial?
- De igual manera se nos revela el acontecimiento de Jesús
caminando sobre el agua y la incredulidad de Pedro que
siente hundirse por falta de Fe; quien es el pescador de los
hombres, duda y le falta confianza delante del Señor que
está a su lado. De igual manera, cuando María Magdalena le
anuncia la Resurrección del Señor, no le cree y aun así se siente
confundido ante los jefes religiosos que pretenden engañarlo.
De ahí, que es tan fácil hablar con Dios y sentirlo cerca, pero
en muchas ocasiones, no lo sentimos ni aprovechamos el
encuentro personal para testificarlo y darlo a conocer.
- Recordemos que no somos dioses, somos sencillamente seres
humanos; ahí esta nuestra grandeza y nuestra limitación, y
también nuestras posibilidades infinitas de ser auténticos
discípulos de Jesús. Hoy les invito a todos los ministros y
servidores a estar más cerca del Señor, no solo en la Misa
dominical, ni el santo rosario diario, sino cerca de El en el
Sagrario, para alimentar así, nuestra fe y pedirle en privado
por todo aquello que nos hace falta para ser mejores hijos y
discípulos.
- ¿En qué actitudes de endiosamiento hemos caído
recientemente? ¿A qué situaciones nos han conducido? ¿A
quiénes hemos afectado?
- Con mi cariño y bendición extiendo mi saludo fraterno a
todas las familias y comunidad parroquial, y en especial
a todos los nuevos huéspedes de nuestra familia online o
website. Gracias por su apoyo y tiempo compartido desde la
