SUNDAY, February 20th 2022 / “7th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME”
“BE COMPASSIONATE AS YOUR FATHER IS
COMPASSIONATE”
- The Word of God on this Sunday reminds us that the
monarchy existing in the Old Testament arises as a symbol of
the Savior God; for the king is an anointed one, bearer of the
spirit of God and the hope of the people. He has to defend, guide
and enforce justice. In today’s reading, David’s gesture before
his enemy is veneration of the sacredness of the function. It is
the recognition of divine guidance in the human mediator.
- In the second reading, St. Paul reminds us that we are
the image of the earthly man, but in the end we will also be the
image of the heavenly man: “The risen Christ guarantees us the
substance of that old dream of humanity, that we will be raised
forever”.
- In order to understand the message of the Gospel, we
say that today there is much talk about the Christian identity;
for the Christian is the generous man, open to understanding
and an enemy of all condemnation. To those who listen to me I
say: “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless
those who curse you, pray for those who insult you”.
- We must always remember that mercy towards our
neighbor draws us to the mercy of God, which reaches its
fullness in Christ. To participate in this mercy must lead us to
unconditional love. To celebrate God’s love is to commit one’s
own life for the sake of others, after the example of Christ.
- Homework for this week: PLAN – EXECUTE AND
EVALUATE RESULTS at the level of family life, work and in our
apostolate within the Parish.

charities, events, aid, letters of recommendation, tax returns,

“SED COMPASIVO COMO
VUESTRO PADRE ES COMPASIVO”
- La Palabra de Dios en este domingo nos recuerda que
la monarquía existente en el Antiguo Testamento surge como
símbolo del Dios Salvador; pues el rey es un ungido, portador
del espíritu de Dios y de la esperanza del pueblo. Tiene que
defender, guiar y hacer valer la justicia. En la lectura de hoy, el
gesto de David ante su enemigo es veneración a la sacralidad de
la función. Es el reconocimiento de la guía divina en el mediador
humano.
- En la segunda lectura de San Pablo nos hace recordar
que somos imagen del hombre terreno, pero al final seremos
también imagen del hombre celestial:” El Cristo resucitado, nos
garantiza lo sustancial de aquel viejo sueño de la humanidad,
de ser resucitados para siempre”.
- Para comprender el mensaje del Evangelio decimos que,
hoy se habla mucho de la identidad cristiana; pues el cristiano
es el hombre generoso, abierto a la comprensión y enemigo
de toda condena. A los que me escuchan les digo: “Amad a
vuestros enemigos, haced el bien a los que os odian, bendecid a
los que os maldicen, orar por los que os injurian”.
- Hemos de recordar siempre que la misericordia con
el prójimo nos atrae a la misericordia de Dios, que alcanza su
plenitud en Cristo. Para participar de esta misericordia nos
debe llevar a un amor incondicional. Celebrar el amor de Dios es
comprometer la propia vida en favor de los demás, a ejemplo
de Cristo.
- Tarea para esta semana: PLANEAR – EJECUTAR Y
EVALUAR RESULTADOS a nivel de vida familiar, laboral y en
nuestro apostolado dentro de la Parroquia.
- Nota adicional para que vengan a REGISTRARSE COMO
MIEMBROS de la Parroquia y así tener derecho a participar de
todos los beneficios que nos ofrece la Diócesis a nivel Educativo,
caridades católicas, eventos, ayudas, cartas de recomendación,
declaración de impuestos, etc. Es muy fácil, solo basta pasar por
nuestras oficinas y diligenciar un formulario para que reciba sus
sobres semanales, y así, entrar en el sistema y quedar vinculado
como activo en este lugar.
