From the Pastor Desk –
“DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THOSE
WHO KILL THE BODY”
- Until a few years ago most people believed in one God
and creator and in Jesus Christ as his envoy; but now many
movements of rejection of an absolute Lord and master God
have been superimposed, given the freedom of cults and the
lack of profession of faith. The recovery of the correct image of
God begins with the rescue of Jesus, free man and liberator of
the poor and oppressed. Jesus invokes God as his Father and in
this way recognizes himself as the only Son of God and in this
way identifies himself with the Holy Spirit. Only in this way is it
possible in Christianity to believe in God.
- True Christianity is centered on Christ as the cornerstone,
who shows us that he has died and risen to give us the assurance
of our victory. The strength that makes us overcome all fear and
freely communicates to us the power of the Father, who is in
heaven, and by our total faith in eternal life.
- Today’s Gospel encourages us not to be afraid of those
who kill the body, for even if we have to suffer death or put our
life in danger for the sake of salvation, we are to live firm in the
faith. Remember that if you take my part before men, I will take
your part before my Father who is in heaven.
- In the first reading we see how the Lord delivers the lives
of the poor from the hands of the wicked, for those of us who
take refuge in God keep us firm and secure in the midst of the
discouragements and persecutions that we may suffer for his
sake: “My friends lay in wait for my stumbling”. Let us sing to the
Lord who delivers us from the hands of the wicked.
- WE ARE IN SUMMER: Let us take advantage of this
time as a family to schedule some outings, make the necessary
adjustments at home, do some general cleaning, rest a little and
share healthily

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“NO TENGAN MIEDO A LOS QUE
MATAN EL CUERPO”
- Hasta hace unos pocos años la mayoría de las personas creían
en un Dios y creador y en Jesucristo como su enviado; pero ahora se
han sobrepuesto muchos movimientos de rechazo de un Dios dueño
y Señor absoluto, dado la libertad de cultos y la falta de profesión
de fe. La recuperación de la imagen correcta de Dios comienza por el
rescate de Jesús, hombre libre y liberador de los pobres y oprimidos.
Jesús invoca a Dios como a su Padre y de esta manera se reconoce
como el Hijo único de Dios y e esta manera se identifica con el Espíritu
Santo. Solo así es posible cristianamente creer en Dios.
- El verdadero cristianismo está centrado en Cristo como
piedra angular, quien nos da muestras de que ha muerto y resucitado
para darnos la seguridad de nuestra victoria. La fortaleza que nos
hace superar todo temor y gratuitamente se nos comunica el poder
del Padre, que está en los cielos, y por nuestra fe total en la vida
eterna.
- El evangelio de hoy nos anima para que no tengamos miedo
a los que matan el cuerpo, pues, aunque tengamos que padecer la
muerte o poner nuestra vida en peligro por causa de la salvación, así
hemos de vivir firmes en la fe. Recuerden que, si ustedes se ponen de
mi parte delante de los hombres, Yo les pondré delante de mi Padre
que está en el cielo.
- En la primera lectura vemos como el Señor libro la vida de
los pobres de las manos de los impíos, pues quienes nos refugiamos
en Dios, nos mantienes firmes y seguros en medio de los desalientos
y persecuciones que podamos padeceré por su causa: “Mis amigos
acechaban mi traspié”. Cantemos al Señor que nos libra de las manos
de los impíos.
- En la primera lectura vemos como el Señor libro la vida de
los pobres de las manos de los impíos, pues quienes nos refugiamos
en Dios, nos mantienes firmes y seguros en medio de los desalientos
y persecuciones que podamos padeceré por su causa: “Mis amigos
acechaban mi traspié”. Cantemos al Señor que nos libra de las manos
de los impíos.
