SUNDAY, MARCH 28th 2021
“HOSANNA TO THE SON OF DAVID, BLESSED IS HE
WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD”.
- Dear brothers and sisters: Since the beginning
of Lent, we have been preparing ourselves with works of
penance and charity. Today, as we approach the Holy Night
of Easter, we are preparing to inaugurate, in common
with the whole Church, the annual celebration of the
mysteries that began with the solemn entry of the Lord
into Jerusalem. Today we will accompany him with our
songs, so that, participating now in his cross, we may one
day deserve to have a part in his resurrection.
- The world is not accustomed to a man giving his
life for the benefit of others. What we are accustomed to
is that some men take the lives of others. Humanity has
become accustomed to wars, hunger, torture, oppression
and relentless exploitation, but even so, there are also
good men in the world.

- The humility of the little donkey on which Jesus
entered Jerusalem will always be a warning to Church
leaders not to fall into the temptation of trying to justify
luxury in order to emphasize their status as envoys of God.
- I invite you, then, in an atmosphere of much
recollection, to come and celebrate this Major Week
with much fervor and joy, knowing that we are worthy
representatives of the One who gave us Eternal Life. I am
waiting for you so that together we can make this, my first
Holy Week in Blessed Sacrament as Pastor, a journey of
Faith and faithful and Loving Service for our King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.

“HOSANNA AL HIJO DE DAVID,
BENDITO EL QUE VIENE
EN NOMBRE DEL SEÑOR”.
- Queridos hermanos: Ya desde el principio de
la Cuaresma nos venimos preparando con obras de
penitencia y caridad. Hoy, cercana ya la Noche Santa de
la Pascua, nos disponemos a inaugurar, en común con
toda la Iglesia, la Celebración anual de los misterios que
empezaron con la solemne entrada del Señor en Jerusalén.
Hoy le acompañaremos con nuestros cantos, para que,
participando ahora de su cruz, merezcamos un día tener
parte en su resurrección.
- No está el mundo acostumbrado a que un hombre
entregue su vida en favor de los demás. A lo que si estamos
acostumbrados es a que unos hombres quiten la vida a
otros. La humanidad se ha habituado a las guerras, al
hambre, a las torturas, a las opresiones y a la explotación
sin tregua; pero, aun así, también hay hombres buenos en
el mundo.
- La lectura de la Pasión del Señor en este día es
una muestra inigualable de que el verdadero camino de la
perfección del hombre es el amor a los demás, hasta ser
capaces de dar la vida por ellos. La firme convicción de la fe
cristiana proclama que quien pierde su vida, la gana para
siempre.
- La humildad del borriquito en el que entró Jesús
a Jerusalén será siempre una advertencia para que los
dirigentes eclesiales no caigan en la tentación de pretender
justificar el lujo a fin de subrayar su condición de enviados
de Dios. - Les invito, pues en un ambiente de mucho
recogimiento, venir y Celebrar Esta Semana Mayor con
mucho fervor y alegría al sabernos dignos representantes
de aquel que nos dio la Vida Eterna. Les espero para que
juntos hagamos de esta, mi Primer Semana Santa en
Blessed Sacrament como Pastor, un recorrido de Fe y
Servicio fiel y Amoroso por nuestro Rey de Reyes y Señor
de Señores.
