From the Pastor Desk –
SUNDAY, December 12th 2021 / 3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT
“BE ALWAYS JOYFUL IN THE LORD.
THE LORD IS NEAR”.
- Today is the Sunday of Joy, and we sing allegorical
songs to the Feast announced by John the Baptist: “Prepare
the ways of the Lord”; because life is an advent for each of
us who know how to wait in Faith. That is why we all prepare
ourselves today for this encounter with the Messiah announced
by the prophets from the earliest times, and we welcome him
with joy in our hearts.
- In the first reading of the day, the prophet Zephaniah
despite their idolatry and inconsistent life with what He
asks, tells the people not to fear because God loves us and is
always with us, so we cannot lose heart. We must recognize
that we are weak and brittle beings before God, which is why
we fail so many times to comply with His commandments.
Today is a time of change and expectation for a better world
- The second reading reminds us that the Lord is near, for
which we must be joyful and on all occasions give him thanks
and bless his holy name.
- The Gospel challenges us with a question: What do we
do? Well, speaking of the Kingdom of God, we have to renounce
all the bad things that do not seduce and lead us so often to
make bad decisions: Works of Charity and Mercy, not to abuse,
not to steal, not to exploit our brother, etc. Let us remember
that the true forerunner always announces good news as one
sent by God, and we receive all this freely in the Eucharist.
I invite you to meditate in an atmosphere of prayer about the
fruits of our Christian life and how we have served God amid
our family, brothers, and sisters within the community.
- Today we will close this great Feast in Honor of Our Lady
of Guadalupe with the Solemn Closing Mass with mariachis at
6:00 pm. Heartfelt thanks to the Guadalupe Committee and
the group of runners of the Marian Torch brought from the Cocathedral of San Jose. - Thanks to all who attended and contributed
in any way so that this Fiesta could be fulfilled as planned.
- NOTE: FROM THE 16TH TO THE 24TH OF DECEMBER WE
WILL HAVE A NOVENA OF CHRISTMAS EVE AND MASS WITH
SONGS AND CAROLS, RAFFLES AND SHARING WITH THE PARISH
GROUPS FROM 7 TO 9 pm., INSIDE THE CHURCH. EXCEPT ON
SUNDAY WHICH WILL BE AT 6 pm, welcome.

Domingo, Diciembre 12 2021 / Tercer domingo de Adviento
“ESTAR SIEMPRE ALEGRES EN EL SEÑOR.
EL SEÑOR ESTÁ CERCA”.
- Hoy es el Domingo de la Alegría y entonamos Canticos
alegóricos a la Fiesta que nos anuncia Juan el Bautista: “Preparen
los caminos del Señor”; porque la vida es un adviento para
cada uno de los que sabemos esperar en la Fe. Por eso todos
desde hoy nos preparamos para este encuentro con el Mesías
anunciado por los profetas desde lo mas antiguo y lo acogemos
con júbilo en nuestros corazones.
- En la primera lectura del día, el profeta Sofonías le dice
al pueblo que no tema, porque Dios a pesar de sus idolatrías
y vida incoherente con lo que El pide, nos Ama y está siempre
con nosotros, por lo cual no podemos desfallecer. Hay que
reconocer que somos seres débiles y quebradizos ante Dios,
por lo cual incumplimos tantas veces sus mandamientos. Hoy
es tiempo de cambio y expectativa por un mundo mejor.
- La segunda lectura nos recuerda que el Señor esta
cerca, por lo cual hemos de estar alegres y en toda ocasión
darle Gracias y Bendecir su Santo nombre.
- El Evangelio nos reta con una pregunta: ¿Qué hacemos
nosotros? Pues hablando del Reino de Dios, hemos de renunciar
a todo lo malo que no seduce y nos conlleva tantas veces a
tomar malas decisiones: Obras de Caridad y Misericordia, no
abusar, no robar, no explotar al hermano, etc. Recordemos que
el verdadero precursor anuncia siempre buenas noticias como
enviado de Dios y todo esto lo recibimos gratuitamente en la
Eucaristía.
- Les invito a meditar en ambiente de Oración sobre
los Frutos de nuestra vida cristiana y como hemos servido a
Dios en medio de nuestros hermanos de familia y dentro de la
comunidad.
- Hoy cerraremos esta gran Fiesta en Honor a Nuestra
Señora de Guadalupe con la Misa Solemne de Clausura con
mariachis a las 6:00 pm. Gracias de todo corazón al Comité
Guadalupano y al grupo de corredores de la Antorcha Mariana
traída desde la Co-catedral de San José. Gracias a todos los que
asistieron y contribuyeron de alguna manera, para que esta
Fiesta se cumpliera tal como se planeó.

TENDREMOS NOVENA DE AGUINALDO Y MISA CON CANTOS
