From the Pastor Desk –
SUNDAY, October 11th
“IF YOU KEEP AN ACCOUNT OF THE CRIMES, LORD, WHO WILL
BE ABLE TO RESIST? FROM YOU COMES FORGIVENESS, GOD
OF ISRAEL”.
- In today’s liturgy, the Lord speaks to us about the Banquet of the
Kingdom, welcoming all people of all races and countries. In the
gospel a king dispatches his servants to summon guests to a feast.
The first guests apologize for not attending, then he sends his
servants to the crossroads to invite guests to the banquet. Some
ignored the invitation and went away. Finally, one of the guests
improperly introduces himself and is dragged off the place, onto
the place of suffering. This lesson invites us to our preparation for
our final encounter with the living God. A gift that is offered to us
after a life full of contrasts and irregular situations, such as those
we experience daily.
- We see in this reflection how Christ always identifies himself with
the poor. He proclaims the Beatitudes to establish the Kingdom of
Heaven with them (Mt 5,3 and Lk 6,20). The poor are capable of
receiving and disposing of what they possess, their own person.
True freedom can be found within poverty, taken decisively.
- We call this reflection the prophetic vision of eschatological
Salvation – total or definitive – and it is presented to us in the
form of a banquet offered free to all the people of Zion. Today as
the sheep of His flock, let us pray for our country, for our families
and brothers and sisters in the Faith. Let us seek the appropriate
answers from the one who in His name and mercy has reconciled
us with His Father, God, making us His children and a community
of believers.
- Let us also remember on this day the origin of our religion in the
Americas, so rich in the languages and cultural expressions of our
countries and regions. May we always be grateful to God for all the
benefits we have received. We pray for the strengthening of the
Missionary Church throughout the world, so that together, we may
watch over the growth, spiritual, and moral development of all
communities, their ministers, priests, and blessed.
- Let us pray that Our Lady of the Rosary, joins us on this pilgrimage
to the Father’s house. Amen

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“SI LLEVAS CUENTA DE LOS DELITOS, SEÑOR, ¿QUIEN PODRÁ
RESISTIR? DE TI PROCEDE EL PERDÓN, DIOS DE ISRAEL”
- En la palabra de este domingo, el Señor nos habla del Banquete del
Reino, acogiéndonos a todos los seres humanos de todas las razas y
países, aunque los primeros invitados se disculparon para no asistir,
entonces envió a sus mensajeros a los cruces de todos los caminos
para invitarnos al banquete. Finalmente, uno de los huéspedes se
presentó inadecuadamente y fue sacado del lugar, al precipicio del
sufrimiento. Esta lección nos invita a nuestra preparación interior
para el encuentro final con el Dios vivo. Regalo que se nos ofrece
después de una vida llena de contrastes y situaciones irregulares,
como las que a diario vivimos en nuestra sociedad.
- Vemos en esta reflexión, como Cristo siempre se identifica con los
pobres y por lo tanto, proclamó las Bienaventuranzas para con ellos
establecer el Reino de los Cielos (Mt 5,3 y Lc 6,20). El pobre es capaz
de recibir y puede estar en disposición de lo que posee, su propia
persona. Dentro de la pobreza, asumida con decisión, puede hallarse
la verdadera libertad.
- A esta reflexión la llamamos la visión profética de la Salvación
escatológica – total o definitiva – y nos presenta en forma de un
banquete ofrecido gratuitamente a todos los pueblos en Sion. Hoy
como ovejas de su rebaño, oremos por nuestro país, por nuestras
familias y hermanos en la Fe, buscando las respuestas adecuadas al
que en su nombre y misericordia nos ha reconciliado con su Padre
Dios, haciéndonos hijos y comunidad de Creyentes.
- Recordemos también en este día de la Raza el origen de nuestra
Religión y de la cultura en las Américas, tan rica en lenguajes,
expresiones culturales y riquezas de nuestros países y regiones.
Que siempre estemos agradecidos con Dios por todos los beneficios
recibidos, y oremos por el fortalecimiento de la Iglesia Misionera
en el mundo entero, para que juntos, velemos por su crecimiento
y desarrollo espiritual y moral de todas las comunidades, con sus
ministros, sacerdotes, y bienaventurados.
- Virgen del Rosario, acompáñanos en esta peregrinación hacia la casa
del Padre. Amen.
