SUNDAY, July 18th 2021
“THEY DO NOT DESPISE A PROPHET EXCEPT IN
HIS OWN LAND.”
- Jesus, Our Shepherd nowadays, nourishes and
strengthens us, guiding us along paths of goodness. He is the just
sprout of David and the way to achieve Peace between Jews and
pagans, between God and humanity. Here, the prophet sees in the
scattered flock the failure of the shepherds. And with the same
image he awakens the hope of a shepherd who does not scatter,
nor expel, nor let lose; but who gathers and guides to life. God will
be in him as wisdom, peace, justice and security for his people.
In the Second Reading the preaching of the Gospel to
other peoples and other cultures does not imply the assimilation
of those cultures and peoples by those who preach, but the
destruction of the social, political, cultural and economic wall,
which created two antagonistic realities.” He is our Peace and He
has made two peoples one”
- In the Gospel of the day, Jesus flees from triumphalism,
but does not shy away from the encounter with the masses, but
he teaches them calmly, without resorting to momentary and
short-lived stimulants: “When Jesus, disembarked, saw a crowd
and felt sorry for them, because they were like sheep without a
shepherd, and he began to teach them calmly”.
- Before the good example that our shepherds and
evangelizers have had given us throughout the history of Salvation,
we must know, above all, that in order to pass on the Word of God
we need to live periodically time of calm, of peace and of intimate
encounter with the Lord. In the Eucharist we enhance this personal
encounter with Christ and fulfill ourselves as Shepherds who seek
the good of the sheep that belong to the Kingdom
- On a personal note, I thank the parents and all the
children and youth who came yesterday Saturday, July 17 to honor
the Divine Child in His annual feast, with an afternoon of games
and recreation and Mass in the parking lot of our school, an event
that we will seal with joy with a Mass in His honor.
- For this coming Tuesday, July 20th, we will celebrate the
Independence Day of Colombia starting at 7:00 pm with the Holy
Rosary, followed by the Holy Mass. Welcome everyone!

“REUNIRÉ AL RESTO DE MIS OVEJAS
Y LES PONDRÉ PASTORES”.
- Hoy Jesús, Nuestro Pastor, nos alimenta y fortalece,
guiándonos por caminos del bien. Es el brote justo de David y el
medio para lograr la Paz entre judíos y paganos, entre Dios y la
humanidad. Aquí, el profeta ve en el rebano disperso el fracaso
de los pastores. Y con la misma imagen despierta la esperanza de
un pastor que no dispersó, ni expulsó, ni dejó perder; sino que
congregó y guio a la vida. En el estará Dios como sabiduría, paz,
justicia y seguridad para su pueblo.
- En la Segunda Lectura la predicación del Evangelio a otros
pueblos y a otras culturas no implica la asimilación de esas culturas
y de esos pueblos por parte de los que predican, sino la destrucción
del muro social, político, cultural y económico, que creaban dos
realidades antagónicas.” Él es nuestra Paz y El ha hecho de dos
pueblos una sola cosa”.
- En el Evangelio del día, Jesús huye del triunfalismo, pero
no rehúye por eso al encuentro con las masas, Eso sí, les enseña
con calma, sin recurrir a estimulantes momentáneos y de corta
duración: “Jesús al desembarcar, vio una multitud y le dio lastima
de ellos, porque andaban como ovejas sin Pastor, y se puso a
enseñarles con calma”.
- Ante el buen ejemplo de nuestros pastores y
evangelizadores que hemos tenido a lo largo de la historia de la
Salvación debemos saber, ante todo, que para transmitir la Palabra
de Dios necesitamos vivir periódicamente tiempos de sosiego, de
paz y de encuentro intimo con el Señor. En la Eucaristía nosotros
potenciamos este encuentro personal con Cristo y nos realizamos
como Pastores que buscan el bien de las ovejas que pertenecen al
reino
- Como nota personal, les agradezco a los Padres de Familia
y a todos los niños y jóvenes que vinieron ayer sábado 17 de Julio a
Honrar al Divino Nino en su Fiesta Anual, con una tarde de juegos
y recreación y Misa Campal en el Parqueadero de nuestra Escuela,
Evento que sellaremos con Alegría con la Misa en su Honor.
Para este próximo 20 de Julio, celebraremos el Día de la
Independencia de Colombia empezando a las 7:00 PM con el Santo
Rosario, seguido de la Santa Misa. ¡Todos son Bienvenidos!
