SUNDAY, APRIL 25th 2021
“Jesus is the Good Shepherd who gives
His life for His sheep”.
- Jesus is the stone that the architects rejected and
who has become the cornerstone and through His paschal
ministry He made us children of God. Today, Peter talk to
us clearly and tells the Sanhedrin: “The Jesus who was
rejected by you is the only Savior, and besides Him there is
no other”.
- The second reading encourages us as children of
God to convert ourselves to be similar to Him, because in
the eternity we will see Him as He is. And it is precisely
at this point that we must go into the mystery of the
Resurrection. For we are not following a momentary
tradition during these fifty days, but every time we eat of
His Flesh and drink of His Blood, we will have eternal life;
therefore, I invite you to answer these questions: What is
the value of the Eucharist for us today? And, if we value it
so much, why many do not receive The Holy Communion?
When the Lord gives himself to us as food of life, what
should be our preparation to receive Him? And how can
we become living Hosts of the Gospel in such turbulent
environments that surround us today?
- I invite you to keep our faith alive and to grow in
it by remaining active in the pastoral work assigned to
us. I remind all families who have not yet registered as
active members of our parish to do so now. Maintaining
your records updated will be able to receive all Diocesan
services to which you are entitled to.
- Also, I invite those who would like to become Ministers of
the Word, Communion Hospitality, Acolytes, Catechists or
Choir Members, please call or come to the office to fill out
your application. All are Welcome!

“Jesús es el Buen Pastor queda la vida por sus ovejas”.
- Jesús es la piedra que desecharon los arquitectos y
que se ha convertido en la piedra angular y por su ministerio
pascual nos ha convertido en hijos de Dios. Hoy Pedro habla
claro y les dice al Sanedrín “El Jesús que fue rechazado por
ustedes es el único Salvador y fuera de El no hay otro”.
- La segunda lectura nos alienta como hijos de Dios
con la esperanza de la transformación futura, manifestada
en lo que seremos, semejantes a Él, porque lo veremos tal
cual es. Y es precisamente en este punto, donde debemos
ahondar el misterio de la Resurrección y de la Eternidad. Pues
no estamos siguiendo una tradición momentánea durante
estos cuarenta días, sino que cada vez que comemos de su
carne y bebemos de su sangre, tendremos vida eterna; por
lo tanto, les invito a responder a estas preguntas: ¿Cuál es el
valor de la Eucaristía para nosotros hoy? ¿Y si la valoramos
tanto, porqué entonces muchos no comulgan? ¿Cuándo
el Señor se nos da como alimento, cuál ha de ser nuestra
preparación para recibirlo? ¿Y cómo hacernos Hostias vivas
del Evangelio en ambientes tan turbulentos como los que
nos rodean hoy?
- Les invito a mantener viva nuestra fe y a crecer en
ella permaneciendo activos dentro del trabajo pastoral
asignado. Les recuerdo a todas las familias que aun no se han
registrado como miembros activos de nuestra parroquia,
puedan hacerlo ahora para mantener sus récords y poder
ofrecerles los servicios Diocesanos a que tienen derecho.
Además, invito a quienes quieran hacerse Ministros Lectores,
o de Comunión o ministros de hospitalidad, acólitos,
catequistas o miembros del coro, favor llamen a la oficina o
vengan a llenar su solicitud, ¡Bienvenidos!
