SUNDAY, January 2nd 2022 / “EPIPHANY OF THE LORD”
“EPIPHANY OF THE LORD”
Adoration of the kings and manifestation of God to all men”
- After celebrating yesterday, January 1st, the Solemnity of Mary,
Mother of God, “Today a light will shine upon us, because the Lord
is born to us; and his name is: Wonderful, God, Prince of peace,
everlasting Father, and his Kingdom will have no end”.
Receive all my fervent Blessing and my Greetings of Well-being
for the New Year 2022, which we are beginning; thanking you
in advance for your Prayers and tokens of affection from some
parishioners on the occasion of Christmas and work done in this
beautiful parish of the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you from the
bottom of my heart!
- Today, Sunday, January 2nd, we are all filled with great
joy as we celebrate the Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
“We have come from the East to Adore the King” and we have
brought Incense, Myrrh and Gold, because today is the feast of
the revelation of God to all men of all races and all peoples of the
earth. Likewise, our life God is full of glorious manifestations, who
comes to us by means of a star that has guided us to his presence.
- The first reading points out that the glory of the Lord
dawns upon all, as a sign of the Light that speaks to us of the
Redemption, of the Epiphany of God, in that small community
around Jerusalem. There in Bethlehem, a spokesman for God
announces the luminous dawn, which spreads with clarity to
the whole universe; for which, ALL THE KINGS OF THE EARTH will
prostrate themselves before YOU.
- In the second reading we see how it has been revealed that
the Gentiles are also co-heirs of the promise; for the discrimination
introduced in humanity by certain cultures or civilizations goes
against God’s plan for the human condition: that all men may be
worshippers of the same God and that we may sit together at the
same table to share human welfare and fulfillment.
- The Gospel of the day narrates the arrival of the Kings
Melchior, Gaspar and Baltazar to adore the promised God in the
form of the Child in the arms of Mary and his putative Father,
Joseph; for which the Christian community, already initiated
to an adult life through the sacraments, is, according to the
expression of the ancient Fathers, an enlightened community, of
the enlightened”.
- Thank you to all the people and families who joined our
great Christmas with the contribution of the Stars with which we
decorated the trees around the parish, asking God’s protection
and welfare for each one.
I want to wish you all the best; also for the gift envelopes to the
Parish for the flowers, candles, wine and maintenance in general.

Adoración de los reyes y manifestación de Dios
a todos los hombres:
- Después de Celebrar ayer primero de enero la Solemnidad
de María Madre de Dios,” Hoy brillará una luz sobre nosotros, porque
nos ha nacido el Señor; y es su nombre: Admirable, Dios, Príncipe de
la paz, Padre perpetuo, y su Reino no tendrá fin”.
- Reciban todos mi fervorosa Bendición y mi Saludo de
Bienestar por el Año Nuevo Año 2022, que estamos iniciando;
agradeciéndoles de antemano por vuestras Oraciones y muestras
de Cariño de parte de algunos feligreses con motivo de la Navidad y
trabajo realizado en esta hermosa parroquia del Stmo. Sacramento.

- Hoy Domingo día dos de enero nos envuelve a todos una
gran Alegría al Celebrar la Epifanía de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo:
“Venimos de Oriente a Adorar al Rey” y hemos traído Incienso,
Mirra y Oro, pues hoy es la fiesta de la revelación de Dios a todos
los hombres de todas las razas y de todos los pueblos de la tierra.
Así mismo, nuestra vida está llena de manifestaciones gloriosas de
parte de Dios, que viene a nosotros por medio de una estrella que
nos ha guiado hasta su presencia.
- En la primera lectura señala que la gloria del señor amanece
sobre todos, como signo de la Luz que nos habla de la Redención,
de la Epifanía de Dios, en aquella pequeña comunidad en torno a
Jerusalén. Allí en Belén, un vocero de Dios anuncia el amanecer
luminoso, que se expande con claridad al universo entero; por lo
cual, se POSTRARAN ANTE TI TODOS LOS REYES DE LA TIERRA.
- En la segunda lectura vemos como ha sido revelado que
también los gentiles son coherederos de la promesa; pues la
discriminación introducida en la humanidad por ciertas culturas o
civilizaciones va en contra del proyecto de Dios sobre la condición
humana: El que todos los hombres sean adoradores del mismo Dios
y que podamos juntos sentarnos en la misma mesa a compartir el
bienestar y la plenitud humana.
- El Evangelio del día nos narra la llegada de los Reyes
Melchor, Gaspar y Baltazar para Adorar al Dios prometido en forma
de Niño en brazos de María y su Padre putativo, José; por lo cual la
comunidad cristiana, iniciada ya a una vida adulta a través de los
sacramentos, es, según la expresión de los Padres antiguos, “una
comunidad iluminada, de iluminados.”.
