SUNDAY, July 25th 2021
“HE DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE WHO WERE
SEATED AS MUCH AS THEY WANTED.”
- Today, in the first reading, the prophet Elisha included
himself in the multiplication of the 20 loaves by distributing them
to 100 people where all of them ate and there was enough left
over, as the Lord had said. It shows us the great love and mercy
of God for all, without discrimination of persons, as we ask him in
the Our Father (give us this day our daily bread), in general, no one
who asks is left without receiving; hence the beautiful responsorial
psalm “You open your hand, O Lord, and satisfy us”.
- In the Second Reading, St. Paul exhorts us to accept God
as the only Father and Lord; for He is the best guarantee that
among men there will be fraternity and that no one will claim to
be “lord” of the others. “Strive to maintain the unity of the spirit
with the bond of peace.”
- Today’s Gospel says that, we as Christians, live the true
multiplication of the loaves which shows us to Jesus as the Messiah.
The Eucharist is the way that helps us not to lose our heart on the
hard road of life. The Lord’s invitation today is to share the loaves
among all, and God will multiply it. This is the call in the spiritual
and material works of mercy, show that communion with Christ is
also solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need.
- Finally, as I told the children and young people on the Feast
of the Divine Child, last week, which culminated with the beautiful
celebration of Colombia’s Independence Day past July 20th, 2021,
“do not forget to organize the time of your life placing there 5
activities to perform each day: Sleep well, eat healthy food, do
sports and exercise and always pray and study.” This guidelines
go for everyone, because the success of our life plan depends of
it, which can be implemented during our free time or vacations,
without interruption

“REPARTIÓ A LOS QUE ESTABAN SENTADOS
TODO LO QUE QUISIERON”.
- En la primera lectura del día, el profeta Eliseo se incluye
de manera especial en la multiplicación de los panes al repartir 20
panes de las primicias a 100 personas y todos comieron y sobró,
como había dicho el Señor. Esto nos demuestra el gran amor y la
misericordia de Dios para con todos, sin acepción de personas, tal
como le pedimos en el Padre Nuestro (danos hoy nuestro pan de
cada día), y por lo general, ninguno que pida, se queda sin recibir;
de ahí el hermoso salmo responsorial “Abres Tu la mano, Señor, y
nos sacias”.
- En la Segunda lectura, San Pablo nos exhorta para que
aceptemos a Dios como único Padre y Señor; pues El es la mejor
garantía de que entre los hombres haya fraternidad y ninguno
pretenda ser “señor:” de los otros. “Esforzaos en mantener la
unidad del espíritu con el vínculo de la paz”.
- En el Evangelio de hoy, podemos decir que los cristianos
vivimos siempre la verdadera multiplicación de los panes que
nos manifiesta a Jesús como el Mesías. La Eucaristía es el viatico
que nos ayuda a no desfallecer en el camino duro de la vida. La
invitación del Señor hoy, es que repartamos el pan entre todos
para que Dios lo multiplique; y esto es lo que vemos en las obras
de misericordia espirituales y materiales, para demostrar que la
comunión con Cristo es también solidaridad con el hermano.
- Finalmente, como les dije a los niños y jóvenes con motivo
de la Fiesta al Divino Niño la semana pasada, y que culminamos con
la hermosa celebración del 20 de Julio, día de la Independencia de
Colombia. “No olvidemos organizar el reloj del tiempo de nuestra
vida, ubicando allí 5 actividades para realizar cada día: Tiempo para
dormir, alimentación, deporte, oración y estudio, y esto va para
todos, pues de ahí depende el éxito en nuestro plan de vida. Tener
un plan de vida que no debe ser interrumpido, por este tiempo de
vacaciones y descanso.
- Gracias a todos los grupos, ministros y servidores que
siempre están dispuestos para colaborar y servir en nuestra
comunidad.
