From the Pastor Desk –
SUNDAY, September 6th
“Lord, you are righteous, your commandments
are right. Treat your servants with mercy”
- Today we talk about the various ways of expressing
ourselves, with words, looks, gestures, embraces, etc.
In each one, we unite our feelings and cultural forms to
communicate with our sisters and brothers. We see in
the first reading, how God chose and made the prophet a
watchtower and loudspeaker to transmit His message to
men. “If you do not speak to the evil one, I will ask you to
account for his blood.”
- In the second reading, Paul teaches us that love consists
in fulfilling the entire law: “He who loves his neighbor has
fulfilled the rest of the law”; Therefore, in our dealings
with others, let us include love and from this love, let us
nourish the soul, the mind and the heart. This is something
that we really need today, due to cultural limitations and
social restrictions. I ask you, from my heart, to pray for
everyone.
- The Word of the Holy Gospel exhorts us to establish a
hierarchy of values with regard to dealing with others,
including fraternal correction and calling them to the
sacrament of reconciliation and to live and maintain a
state of peace and grace before God and neighbor.
- I invite you, during this month, to participate in all
the events that we will celebrate in our parish, first
accompanying our First Communion children through the
Online Mass, on Saturdays, September 12th, and 19th at
9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Join us to celebrate the Triduum
in Honor of the Holy Cross and Our Lady of Sorrows, on
September 13th, 14th, and 15th, culminating the day
with Mass at 7:30 pm. Then we will celebrate Catechists
Sunday, September 20th, at the 10:00 am mass and my
installation as Pastor of this beautiful community.
- The installation celebration will also be life streamed online at
1:30 pm. We will also have Confirmations on the Fridays of
September 18th, 25thand October 2nd at 5:00 pm with His
Excellency Msgr. Octavio Cisneros.

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“Señor, tú eres justo, tus mandamientos son
rectos. Trata con misericordia a tus siervos”.
- Hoy hablamos de las diversas formas de expresarnos, con
palabras, miradas, gestos, abrazos, etc. Y en cada una,
unimos nuestros sentimientos y formas culturales para
comunicarnos con nuestros hermanos. Así vemos en la
primera lectura, como Dios escogió e hizo de los profetas
Atalayas o altoparlantes para transmitir sus mensajes de los
hombres. “Si no hablas al malvado, te pediré cuenta de su
sangre”
- En la segunda lectura, nos enseña que el Amor consiste en
cumplir la ley entera: “El que ama a su prójimo tiene cumplido
el resto de la ley”; Por lo tanto, en nuestro trato con los demás,
incluyamos el Amor y de este Amor, alimentemos el Alma,
la mente y el corazón; algo que nos hace mucha falta hoy
a todos, debido a las limitaciones culturales y restricciones
sociales. De corazón les pido, Orar todos por todos.
- La Palabra del Santo Evangelio nos exhorta a establecer
una jerarquía de valores respecto al trato con los demás,
incluyendo la corrección fraterna y en el llamado al
sacramento de la reconciliación, vivir y mantener un estado
de Paz y Gracia ante Dios y el prójimo.
- Les invito durante este mes, participar de todos los eventos
que vamos a celebrar en nuestra parroquia, primero
acompañar a través de la Misa Online a nuestros niños de
Primera Comunión, los sábados 12 y 19 de septiembre a las
9:00 am y 1:00 pm. Del mismo modo acompáñenos a celebrar
el Triduo en Honor a la Santa Cruz y Nuestra Señora de los
Dolores, los días 13, 14 y 15 de septiembre, culminando día 15
con la misa a las 7:30 pm y luego tendremos el Domingo de
los Catequistas el día 20 de septiembre en la misa de las 10:00
am y la Instalación del Padre Gabriel Jaime Toro, como Pastor
de esta linda comunidad en la misa de 1:30 pm, celebración
que también nos pueden acompañar online.
- Finalmente celebraremos las Confirmaciones los días viernes
18, 25 de septiembre y viernes 2 de octubre a las 5:00 pm,
ceremonia presidida por su Excelencia Monseñor Octavio
Cisneros.
