From the Pastor Desk –
“THE WHEAT AND THE TARES MUST GROW TOGETHER”
- Today’s liturgy with the Feast we Celebrate of the
Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tabor, is a day of Hope
and Joy for all believing people; for we know that today the Lord
announces to Peter, James and John. That he is going to Jerusalem
where he will be crucified and killed and that on the third day he
will rise from the dead: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am
well pleased.” In the same way we affirm from baptism that all of
us who believe in him will live with him and rise with him.
- The first reading reminds us of the vision of the prophet
Daniel, in which he saw a throne on which sat an old man clothed
in white and millions were at his command and someone like the
Son of man received sovereignty, honor, glory and the kingdom:
“The Lord reigns, clothed in majesty”. This is the Faith of the
Church which we joyfully profess and in which we all hope to be
redeemed and guarded until the Throne of Wisdom, in Heaven.
- The voice of God was heard on the holy mountain, in the
presence of the Apostles when the Father said: This is my Beloved
Son”. What can we respond and do? Give all honor and glory to
Him who lives forever and ever. Today they witnessed the Face
of the Lord as white as snow and on either side of Him appeared
Moses and Elijah, conversing with Him.
- The feast that we celebrate will be called the Feast of Life,
because it is the only one we have and enjoy; therefore it is very
important that each one of us becomes aware of the importance
of living united to Him throughout our existence. What Faith and
what Works have we sustained and strengthened to present to
Him at the end of the road? We say that what you sow, you shall
reap. Now we have to anticipate this Eternal gift, doing God’s Will
and honoring Him properly all the days of our life.
- Homework: How do we procure Salvation and in what
ways are we living and active instruments within Mother Church?
Additionally, I invite you to celebrate with Pride and joy the feast
of the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven, next AUGUST 15th.

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“EL SEÑOR REINA ALTÍSIMO
SOBRE TODA LA TIERRA”
- La liturgia de hoy con la Fiesta que Celebramos de la
Transfiguración del Señor en el Monte Tabor, es un día de Esperanza
y Alegría para todo el pueblo creyente; pues sabemos que hoy el
Señor anuncia a Pedro, Santiago y Juan. Que va a Jerusalén donde
lo Crucificarán y Matarán y que al Tercer día Resucitará de entre
los muertos: “Este es mi Hijo amado, en quien tengo puesta mis
complacencias” Así mismo afirmamos desde el bautismo que todos
los que creemos en El, Viviremos con el y Resucitaremos con El.
- La primera lectura nos recuerda la visión del profeta
Daniel, en la que vio un trono en el cual se sentó un anciano vestido
de blanco y millones estaban a sus ordenes y alguien semejante al
Hijo del hombre recibió la soberanía, el honor, la gloria y el reino:
“El Señor Reina, Vestido de Majestad”. Esta es la Fe de la Iglesia que
profesamos con alegría y en la cual todos esperamos ser redimidos y
custodiados hasta el Trono de la Sabiduría, en el Cielo.
- La voz de Dios fue escuchada en el monte santo, en presencia
de los Apóstoles cuando el padre afirmó: Este es mi Hijo Amado”.
¿Qué podemos responder y hacer nosotros? Darle todo su Honor y
Gloria al que vive por los siglos de los siglos. Hoy ellos fueron testigos
de ver el Rostro del Señor Blanco como la nieve y a sus dos lados
aparecieron Moisés y Elías, conversando con El.
- La fiesta que celebramos será llamada Fiesta de la vida, pues
es la única que tenemos y disfrutamos; por eso es muy importante
que cada uno tomemos conciencia de la importancia de vivir unidos
a El a lo largo de nuestra existencia. ¿Qué Fe y que Obras hemos
sostenido y fortalecido para presentarle al final del camino? Decimos
que de lo que uno siembra, recoge. Ahora hemos de anticipar este
regalo Eterno, haciendo la Voluntad de Dios y honrarlo debidamente
todos los días de nuestra vida.
- Tarea: ¿Cómo procuramos nosotros la Salvación y de que
formas somos instrumentos vivos y activos dentro de la madre
Iglesia? Adicionalmente les invito para que Celebremos con Orgullo
y mucha alegría la fiesta de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora al Cielo, el
próximo 15 de AGOSTO. ¡Bienvenidos!
