SUNDAY, MAY 8th
FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
DAY OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD AND MOTHERS
“I give eternal LIFE to my sheep”
- The people have to suffer unceasingly from the
presence of leaders, bosses and saviors. They suffer because
they are imposed on them, as if they were indispensable for
the progress of the community. Almost always in the will of
power and domination, they annihilate the people and mute
them; therefore, they erect leaders who attract and drag the
community to instruct and serve them as Christ the Good
Shepherd does today with all of us, the sheep of his flock.
- The attitude of Jesus as Shepherd is a lesson never to be
learned. Here, the Shepherd gives his life for the flock, for the
true leader is the one who helps the group to be able to face its
own destiny responsibly. The Good Shepherd promotes man to
become, in solidarity with others, the shepherd of his own life.
Today may the Light of truth guide those who go astray, so that
they may return to the path of holiness.
- In the first reading of the day, Paul and Barnabas opened
themselvesto the Christian faith and enthusiastically proclaimed
the message of salvation to the ends of the earth. When the
Gentiles heard them, they rejoiced and so the word of the Lord
spread throughout the region.
- In the second reading we see the figure of the Lamb who
sits at the right hand of the Father and who will lead us to the
springs of living waters and wipe away our tears. We know that
Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
All of uswho have been saved and purified by his blood,recognize
him as the authentic Shepherd, who leads us to fountains of
living water. To commune with Christ is to listen to his voice and
to have the confidence that he gives us eternal life
- Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to extend
my cordial greetings to all the Mothers on their Classic Day and
thank them for their presence and collaboration in our Parish.
May God bless you and strengthen you as lighted lamps that
gave us life and made us, their children, the dwelling places of
God and Servants in our communities. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.

CUARTO DOMINGO DE PASCUA
DÍA DEL BUEN PASTOR Y MADRES
“Yo doy la VIDA eterna a mis ovejas”
- El pueblo tiene que padecer sin cesar la presencia de
líderes, jefes y salvadores. Padecen porque se los imponen,
como si fueran imprescindibles para la marcha de la comunidad.
Casi siempre en la voluntad del poder y de dominio, aniquilan
al pueblo y lo enmudecen; por lo cual erigen líderes que atraen
y arrastran a la comunidad para instruirlos y servirles como lo
hace hoy Cristo el Buen Pastor con todos nosotros, ovejas de su
rebaño.
- La actitud de Jesús como Pastor, es una lección que
nunca se acaba de aprender. Aquí, el Pastor da la vida por el
rebaño, pues el verdadero dirigente es aquel que ayuda a que el
grupo sea capaz de enfrentarse responsablemente con su propio
destino. El Buen Pastor promociona al hombre para que se haga,
en solidaridad con los demás, pastor de su propia vida. Que hoy
la Luz de la verdad guíe a los que andan extraviados, para que
puedan volver al camino de la santidad.
- En la primera lectura del día, Pablo y Bernabé,se abrieron
a la fe cristiana y anuncian con entusiasmo el mensaje de la
salvación hasta el extremo de la tierra. Cuando los gentiles los
oyeron,se alegraron y así la palabra del Señorse fue difundiendo
por toda la región.
- En la segunda lectura vemos la figura del Cordero que
está sentado a la derecha del Padre y que nos conducirá hacia las
fuentes de aguas vivas y enjugará nuestras lágrimas. Sabemos
que Cristo es el Cordero de Dios que quita los pecados del mundo.
Todos los salvado y purificados con su sangre, le reconocemos
como el Pastor autentico, que nos conduce hacia fuentes de agua
viva. Comulgar con Cristo, es escucharsu voz y tener la confianza
de que nos da la vida eterna.
- Finalmente, quiero aprovechar este medio para hacer
llegar mi cordial saludo a todas las Madres en su Día Clásico
y agradecerles por su presencia y colaboración en nuestra
Parroquia. Dios las Bendiga y fortalezca como lámparas
encendidas que nos dieron la vida e hicieron de nosotros, sus
hijos Moradas de Dios y Servidores en nuestras comunidades.
