SUNDAY, January 9th 2022 / “BAPTISM OF THE LORD”
“JESUS WAS BAPTIZED, AND WHILE HE WAS PRAYING,
HEAVEN WAS OPENED”
- The Epiphany, which is the incarnation, made manifest
especially in baptism, reveals to us the true meaning of the
paternal-filial relationship, of what the Son and the Father are.
Today we discover God’s role in the salvific plan.
- We also remember the beginning of our life united
to our mother and from this physical and affective fusion we
project the way forward; but in a special way, when we are
baptized, we are united filially as children of God, members of
the church and heirs of heaven. As we grow up, we see how
the father begins to separate the child from the mother so that
he becomes independent and begins a path towards where to
orient his future; likewise, when the Father God sends his Son
to earth, through this physical separation, a new way of life is
achieved as Guide and Shepherd of the flock of God, which is us.
- The first reading speaks to us of the servant of the Lord
as a word of hope for the captives and slaves of injustice. It is a
messianic image, which knows God in suffering. In the servant
the spirit of God urges the right, justice; he is light for all those
who see no meaning in their lives. The way of the servant is
gentle, but firm; he does not break the fragile, but does not
break in his mission. He is in all those who suffer injustice. And
he gives meaning to all, because in him is the God who liberates.
- In the second reading Jesus as the one anointed by
GOD with the power of the Holy Spirit comes to us through
Baptism to all the peoples of the earth so that we may know
the way to follow with the strength that he himself gives us.
- In conclusion, we can say that all those who enter into
communion with the person of Jesus receive the power to be
children of God and from this communion we can purify and
renew all our paternal-filial relationships according to the spirit
that the Epiphany left us.
- I invite you from tomorrow, Monday, January 10, to
begin Ordinary Liturgical Season I, which will lead us little by
little until Ash Wednesday.

Domingo, Enero 9 2022 /“ EL BAUTISMO DEL SEÑOR”
“JESÚS SE BAUTIZÓ, MIENTRAS ORABA, SE ABRIÓ EL CIELO”
- La Epifanía, que es la encarnación, patentizada
especialmente en el bautismo, nos revela el sentido verdadero
de la relación paterno-filial, de lo que es el Hijo y el Padre. Hoy
descubrimos el papel de Dios en el plan salvífico.
- También recordamos el comienzo de nuestra vida
unidos a nuestra madre y de esta fusión física y afectiva
proyectamos el camino a seguir; pero de manera especial,
cuando nos bautizamos, nos unimos filialmente como hijos
de Dios, miembros de la iglesia y herederos del cielo. Mientras
crecemos, vemos como el padre empieza a separar al niño de
la madre para que se independice y comience un camino hacia
donde orientar su futuro; así mismo, cuando el Padre Dios,
envía a su Hijo a la tierra, se logra a través de esta separación
física, un nuevo estilo de vida como Guía y Pastor del rebano de
Dios, que somos nosotros.
- Hoy Domingo día dos de enero nos envuelve a todos una
gran Alegría al Celebrar la Epifanía de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo:
“Venimos de Oriente a Adorar al Rey” y hemos traído Incienso,
Mirra y Oro, pues hoy es la fiesta de la revelación de Dios a todos
los hombres de todas las razas y de todos los pueblos de la tierra.
Así mismo, nuestra vida está llena de manifestaciones gloriosas de
parte de Dios, que viene a nosotros por medio de una estrella que
nos ha guiado hasta su presencia.
- La primera lectura nos habla del siervo del Señor
como palabra de esperanza para los cautivos, y esclavos de
la injusticia. Es una imagen mesiánica, que sabe a Dios en el
sufrimiento. En el siervo el espíritu de Dios urge el derecho, la
justicia; es luz para todos los que no ven sentido en sus vidas. El
modo del siervo es suave, pero firme; no quiebra lo frágil, pero
no se quiebra en su misión. Está en todos los que sufren por la
injusticia. Y da a todos sentido, porque en Él está el Dios que
libera.
- En la segunda lectura Jesús como el ungido por DIOS
con la fuerza del Espíritu Santo nos llega por el Bautismo a
todos los pueblos de la tierra para que conozcamos el camino a
seguir con la fuerza que el mismo nos da.
- En conclusión, podemos decir que todos los que entran
en comunión con la persona de Jesús reciben la potestad de ser
hijos de Dios y de esta comunión podemos purificar y renovar
todas nuestras relaciones paterno filial según el espíritu que
nos dejó la epifanía.
- Les invito desde mañana lunes, 10 de enero a iniciar el
tiempo litúrgico Ordinario I, que nos llevara poco a poco hasta
el Miércoles de Ceniza.
