Pastor Desk | “ARE YOU THE ONE WHO IS TO COME, OR MUST WE WAIT FOR ANOTHER?” | December 11th 2022

From the Pastor Desk –

“REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND”

  • Every believer must be in his life a
forerunner, a prophet and a pioneer, who
makes everything new; and in deed, not
only in word, renews the face of the earth.
Thus the Spirit acts in the celebration,
transforming the gifts and all the faithful
into the image of Jesus transfigured at the
    end of all times.
  • The message of the first reading is consoling, regarding
the integrity of the human person; for we all have the hope of
a Savior, who comes from his birth to establish a Kingdom of
Life, of Peace and Love with the whole human race; hence the
text of Isaiah, which tells us: “Look to your God, who comes in
    person and will save you”.

  • Stand firm because the coming of the Lord is near, says
the Apostle James in the second reading, see that the judge is
already at the door, take, brothers, as an example of suffering
and patience to the prophets, who spoke in the name of the
    Lord.

  • The proclamation of today’s Gospel is not only good
news for the end, but already as the greatest manifestation
ever seen, when the lame begin to walk, the blind to see and
the deaf to hear… and even the dead are raised to life. For all
this, I have sent my messenger before all to prepare the way for
    my coming.

  • Congratulations with my own gratitude to those who
made part of this great night of Light that we celebrate in Honor
of Our Mother of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of
America and of our Diocese, making this Christmas Illumination
a scene of life and joy for all our families in the approaching
Christmas. Thank you to all contributors. We look forward to
seeing you all for the Christmas Novena from the 16th through
the 24th of the month at 7:00 pm in our parish.

  • This coming of the Lord is preceded today with the
presence of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which coincides on this
Sunday with the “Mañanitas” that we will sing at midnight to
honor her apparition on December 12, 1531 to St. Juan Diego in
Mexico and through him, to thank God for such an illustrious
gift to the Catholic humanity of the whole world.

Greetings at home to all; with my love and blessing,Blessings,

Father Gabriel Jaime Toro R – Pastor

        • Bendiciones,
Padre Gabriel Jaime Toro R – Pastor
