SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6th 2020
SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT
“PREPARE A WAY FOR THE LORD.”
- After a long wait, God is on his way with his people, as
in a new exodus from bondage to freedom, and he is showing
his saving power by gathering all the dispersed. His presence,
already close, is felt in the announcement of the Prophet
Isaiah: “May we all prepare for the encounter with our God;
because He comes with power and His arm commands. With
Him comes His reward, like a Shepherd who pastures the
flock, His arm gathers it”.
- Although it is useless to establish a calendar of the
history of salvation; only God knows when and how human
history will end. However, Christians are responsible for the
rhythm of the times, which will conclude with the second
coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ: “For the Lord one day is like
a thousand years, and a thousand years, like one day” and he
has always had a lot of patience with us. The best thing is to
know, how have we responded to his plan of salvation for all?
We hope for a new heaven and a new earth.
- In today’s Gospel, we see the figure of John, baptizing
with water as a sign of repentance and announcing that
“Behind me comes the one who can more than me … I baptize
you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
- With these beautiful reflections of the day, I invite
you to seek more the Lord during these days of Advent and
to come closer in an atmosphere of conversion and inner
cleansing, to seek this light that awaits us in Bethlehem, to
commemorate His spiritual birth in a noble way and active in
our parish; from tomorrow, Monday, December 7 with the
bilingual holy Rosary at 7:00 pm in the parish and then the
Vigil Mass of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, we will
have the Ceremony of the lighting the trees with the stars
that you have willingly contributed, to cover the expenses of
our beautiful gardens installed around the church. Everyone
is welcome just remember using the Mask and maintain the
required social distance.
- We will also have the Manger or the
Nativity scene open for everyone to contemplate and some
things for sale in the parking area of the church.

SEGUNDO DOMINGO DE ADVIENTO
“PREPARADLE UN CAMINO AL SEÑOR”
- Después de una larga espera, Dios está en camino con
su pueblo, como en un nuevo éxodo de la servidumbre a la
libertad, y que está mostrando su fuerza salvadora al reunir
a todos los dispersados. Su presencia, ya cercana se siente
en el anuncio del Profeta Isaías: “Que todos nos preparemos
para el encuentro con nuestro Dios; pues llega con poder y su
brazo manda. Con él viene su recompensa, como un Pastor
que apacienta el rebaño, su brazo lo reúne”.
- Aunque es inútil establecer un calendario de la
historia de la salvación; solo Dios sabe cuándo y cómo va a
acabar la historia humana. Sin embargo, los cristianos somos
responsables del ritmo de los tiempos, los cuales concluirán
con la segunda venida de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo: “Para el
Señor un día es como mil años, y mil años, como un día” y
siempre ha tenido mucha paciencia con nosotros. Lo mejor es
saber, ¿Cómo hemos respondido a su plan de salvación para
todos?, pues esperamos un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva.
- En el Evangelio de hoy, vemos la figura de Juan,
bautizando con agua en señal de arrepentimiento y
anunciando, que “Detrás de mí, viene el que puede más que
yo… Yo os bautizo con agua, pero Él con el Espíritu Santo”.
- Con estas lindas reflexiones del día, les invito para
que durante estos días del Adviento busquemos más del
Señor y nos acerquemos en un ambiente de conversión y
limpieza interior, a buscar esta luz que nos espera en Belén,
para conmemorar su nacimiento espiritual de manera noble
y activa en nuestra parroquia desde mañana, lunes 7 de
Diciembre con el Sto. Rosario a las 7:00 pm bilingüe en la
parroquia y luego de la Misa de las vísperas de Nuestra Señora
de la Inmaculada Concepción, tendremos la Ceremonia
del encendido de nuestras luces de Navidad, decorados los
árboles con las Estrellas que ustedes de buena voluntad
han aportado, para cubrir los gastos de nuestros hermosos
jardines instalados alrededor de la Calle 93 y la Avenida 35.
- Les esperamos a todos, usando la Mascarilla y conservando
la distancia social requerida. Tendremos también abierto
el Pesebre y algunas ventas de comestibles en el área del
parqueadero de la casa Parroquial.
