“!RABBÍ, IT IS GOOD THAT WE ARE HERE!”.
- Dear brothers and sisters, it is already the second week
of Lent, everything has changed to a more somber color;
purple, the color of repentance, reflection, all our humanity
is shown as it is in each one of us. And the question arises; is
there hope in so much sin?
- O Lord, do we have hope of attaining holiness to see
you? Precisely in this Sunday’s Gospel we find the answer,
hearing in our hearts to Jesus whom prepares himself for the
Passion, saying to all generations: “Yes, there is hope, for I am
the way”.
- The Peter’s proposal to stay at the side of Jesus, Moses
and Elijah in that apotheosic moment on Mount Tabor, speaks
to us about the beauty and peace that is lived in eternity with
God, which will be the reward for our decision to carry our
cross worthily, out of love for Him.
- The exclamation of the Father “This is my beloved
son, listen to him” is the golden rule that transcends through
the centuries of history as a key of Salvation, the instant of
radiance that Peter, James and John lived, became the drop of
honey that would sweeten the bitterness of the Passion that
Jesus will live even the martyrdom of those who would be his
witnesses.
- Today my dear children, we must work to make
ourselves worthy of the peace in eternity, Not only building
tents to stay here by the altar, knowing that we are still in the
world, but go out into the world to work helping to build the
kingdom of God.
- Let us reflect during this Lenten season looking inward,
looking with hope towards that still empty Cross, which will be
the throne of that King of the Universe, who, full of love, will
shed his blood for all of us.
