SUNDAY, September 12th 2021
“TO LOVE IS TO FULFILL THE WHOLE LAW
AND TO SAVE YOUR BROTHER”.
- In the first reading, the prophet Isaiah implores the Lord’s help
and He manifests His presence to him in the midst of pain as
the Savior. That is why he accepts it with firmness and hope.
The light of elevation sheds light on the mystery of the Passion,
teaching those who suffer to also be attentive; therefore, as
Psalm 114 says, “I will walk in the presence of the Lord in the
land of life”.
- To believe is not only to admit a creed, but to accept
the vital commitment of faith, which is none other than love of
neighbor. When there is a crisis of faith in a Christian world, it
is because there has been a crisis of love. I believe that this has
been the greatest problem we have encountered in practicing
the faith. We see in our communities many ways of rejecting
love, which is the basic commandment of God and the best way
to serve, for he who does not love to serve, does not serve to
live.
- Who do people say that I am? Given this reality, we know
that Christ belongs to all humanity and is universally considered
as one of the first figures of the human gallery. But only those
who consider Him to be the Messiah, that is, the one who
brings definitive liberation and salvation, can be considered
His disciples. This identity with Him is what characterizes us as
the people of God and as integral Catholics, in the midst of the
position of many who only see Him as an ordinary man.
- Let us always remember that the Christian mystery of
forgiveness and reconciliation is intolerable to us because it
consists in giving our lives. In the Eucharist we celebrate the life
of the one who gave himself for us.
- I invite you to celebrate this week the Feast of the Holy
Cross and the Solemnity of Our Lady of Sorrows on the 14th and
15th respectively. The Confraternity of Our Lady are invited in
uniform, to begin the Rosary of the 7 Sorrows at 6:45 pm and
then the Eucharist. Welcome!

“TU ERES EL MESÍAS, EL HIJO DEL HOMBRE”.
- En la primera lectura, el profeta Isaías implora el auxilio del
Señor y Él le manifiesta su presencia en medio del dolor como
el Salvador. Por eso lo acepta con firmeza y esperanza. La luz
de la elevación te aclara el misterio de la pasión, enseñando a
los que sufren a estar también a la escucha; por lo tanto, como
dice el Salmo 114 “caminare en presencia del Señor en el país de
la vida”.
- Creer no es solo admitir un credo, sino aceptar el
compromiso vital de la fe, que no es otro que el amor al prójimo.
Cuando en un mundo cristiano hay crisis de fe, es porque antes
ha habido una crisis de amor. Creo que este ha sido el problema
mayor con que nos encontramos para practicar la fe. Pues
vemos en nuestras comunidades muchas maneras de rechazar
el amor, el cual es básico como mandamiento de Dios y la mejor
manera de servir, pues el que no ama para servir, no sirve para
vivir.
- ¿Quién dice la gente que soy yo? Ante esta realidad
sabemos que Cristo pertenece a toda la humanidad y es
universalmente considerado como una de las primeras figuras
de la galería humana. Pero solamente pueden considerarse
discípulos suyos los que lo tienen por el Mesías, o sea por el que
aporta la liberación y la salvación definitivos. Esta identidad
con El es lo que nos caracteriza como pueblo de Dios y como
católicos integrales, en medio de la posición de muchos que
solo lo ven como un hombre cualquiera.
- Recordemos siempre que el misterio cristiano del
perdona y de la reconciliación se nos hace intolerable porque
consiste en entregar la vida. En la Eucaristía celebramos la vida
de aquel que se entregó por nosotros.
- Les invito a celebrar esta semana la fiesta de la Santa
Cruz y la solemnidad de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores el 14 y
15 respectivamente. Espero a la Cofradía de la Virgen con su
uniforme, para iniciar el Rosario de los 7 dolores a las 6:45 pm y
luego la Eucaristía. ¡Bienvenidos!
