SUNDAY, December 19th 2021 / 4th SUNDAY OF ADVENT
“WHO AM I THAT THE MOTHER OF MY LORD
SHOULD VISIT ME?”
- Today the humble community of Judah, without visible
greatness, reminds us of the place where the Child Jesus was
born, in the same land of King David and next to him the
expectation of the awaited Messiah; therefore, those who seek
redemption in the strength of God, continue to use the local
symbol to speak of the one who is to bring us the peace that
floods the whole world.
- In the second reading, when Christ entered the world
he said: “You do not want sacrifices or offerings”, since in
Christianity there is no other sacrifice than that which Christ
made of himself once for all and which the Church recalls and
renews in the Eucharistic celebration. This invites us to strip
ourselves of so much superficiality and so much folklore, which
obscures the real value of what we celebrate.
- The memory of Mary’s visit to her cousin St. Elizabeth
reminds us of Elizabeth’s words when she received her in her
home: “Who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to
visit me? Today we also look to the Holy Family to help us and
enlighten our lives and actions throughout our Christian life.
- Mary is a living testimony of how a woman of the people
knows how to wait and knows how to welcome the promises.
That is why her womb produces the precious fruit that brings
salvation.

- On Sunday, December 26th we will have a GALA DINNER
on the occasion of the Feast of the HOLY FAMILY, to say goodbye
to the 2021 year and give thanks to God for so many things we
received. Tickets will be at $75 dollars. Includes happy hour,
dinner, dancing. Raffles and a good toast to the New Year.

Domingo, Diciembre 19 2021 / Cuarto domingo de Adviento
“ESTAR SIEMPRE ALEGRES EN EL SEÑOR.
EL SEÑOR ESTÁ CERCA”.
- Hoy la humilde comunidad de Judá, sin grandezas
visibles, nos recuerda el lugar donde nació el Nino Jesús, en la
misma tierra del rey David y junto a el la expectativa del Mesías
esperado.; por lo tanto, los que buscan la redención en la fuerza
de Dios, siguen usando el símbolo local para hablar del que ha
de traernos la =paz que inunda al mundo entero.
- En la segunda lectura, cuando Cristo entró en el mundo
dijo: “Tu no quieres sacrificios ni ofrendas”, dado que en el
cristianismo no hay mas sacrificio que el que Cristo hizo de si
mismo una vez para siempre y que la Iglesia rememora y renueva
en la celebración eucarística. Ello nos invita a despojarnos de
tanta superficialidad y de tanto folklor, que opaca el valor real
de lo que celebramos.
- El recuerdo de la visita de María Santísima a su prima
Santa Isabel, nos recuerdas las palabras de Isabel cuando la
recibió en su casa: “quien soy yo para que la madre de mi Señor
venga a visitarme? Hoy también esperamos a la Sagrada Familia
para que nos ayude e ilumine nuestras vidas y acciones a lo
largo de nuestra vida cristiana.
- María es un testimonio vivo de como una mujer del
pueblo sabe esperar y sabe acoger las promesas. Por eso su
vientre produce el fruto precioso que trae la salvación.
- Con la novena y posadas navideñas nos vamos
preparando para que esta navidad sea celebrada y vivida en
un ambiente de mucho recogimiento y alegría espiritual, junto
a los padres e hijos con nuestros hermanos de la comunidad
parroquia. Les espero para la misa de NAVIDAD el día 24 desde
las 7:00 pm y el sábado 25 solemnemente en su día.
- Para el domingo 26 de diciembre tendremos CENA
DE GALA con motivo de la Fiesta de la SAGRADA FAMILIA,
para despedir el Año dar Gracias a Dios por tantos beneficios.
