PENTECOST SUNDAY–

– The Love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us”, Hallelujah.

-Today we remember that the Spirit of God who the Spirit of Jesus, is the same who has Risen him. It is the Holy Spirit who sustains with his strength and his love without fatigue everything that exists, it will be the same who gives fullness to the world, working in the entire universe the new creation.

-It may seem a strange phenomenon to see tongues of fire fall on the Blessed Virgin and the apostles, but we should understand that this is part of the language of God. This happened in the Old Testament with the theophanies (sounds of God) expressed in fire, in the air, in the water, in the wind, in the earthquake, in the sea.

-It is important to understand the transforming language that God gave us when we received the sacrament of Baptism. Today he reconfirms us with the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit that we should put into practice in our personal life: Wisdom, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude, Understanding, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. We will reaffirm in the Creed: “I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son….” What are our gifts and talents? What can be our best role within the Church, the family and society? We acclaim him today saying: “Send out your Spirit, Lord and renew the face of the earth.”

-Let us understand what the second reading tells us, about the diversity of gifts, but the same Spirit, the diversity of ministries, but the same Lord, the diversity of functions, but the same God who works everything in everyone, for the common good. Let us think for a moment of our spiritual home Blessed Sacrament. How has God manifested Himself in our past and present life? Let’s take time to meditate on today’s readings and put them into practice.

DIA DE PENTECOSTES —
El Amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros”, Aleluya.

– Hoy recordamos que el Espíritu de Dios es el Espíritu de Jesús, el mismo que lo ha Resucitado, y es quien sostiene con su fuerza y su amor sin fatiga todo lo que existe, será el mismo quien de la plenitud al mundo, realizando en todo el universo la nueva creación..

– Aunque parece un fenómeno extraño el ver caer lenguas de fuego sobre la Santísima Virgen y los apóstoles, hemos de entender que esto es parte del lenguaje de Dios, como aconteció en el Antiguo Testamento con las teofanías (sonidos de Dios) expresados en el fuego, en el aire, en el agua, en el viento, en el terremoto, en el mar. Etc. Para nosotros hoy es importante saber entender este lenguaje transformador que Dios nos ha dado desde que recibimos el sacramento del Bautismo, pero de manera especial hoy cuando nos reconfirma en la fe con estos 7 dones o regalos gratuitos que debemos poner en práctica dentro de nuestro proyecto personal de vida: Sabiduría, Entendimiento, Consejo, Fortaleza, Piedad, temor de Dios y Ciencia.

Y así reafirmaremos en el Credo: Creo en el Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de Vida, que procede el Padre y del Hijo…. Y así explorar en la lista de dones y talentos, cual ha de ser nuestro mejor rol dentro de la Iglesia, la familia y la sociedad; por lo tanto, lo aclamamos diciendo: Envía tu Espíritu, Señor y repuebla la faz de la tierra.

Tratemos de entender como dice la segunda lectura del día de hoy, como hay diversidad de dones, pero un mismo Espíritu, hay diversidad de ministerios, pero un mismo Señor, y hay diversidad de funciones, pero un mismo Dios que obra todo en todos, para el bien común. Ahora, dígame queridos feligreses de Blessed Sacrament, ¿cómo se ha manifestado Dios en tu vida pasada y presente? Tomemos un poco de tiempo hoy para meditar estas lecturas y ponerlas en práctica.
