SUNDAY, JUNE 14: THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

(CORPUS CHRISTI)

 

“The Lord fed them with flour and satiated them with wild honey”-

  • – Our human life is filled with visible and invisible presences. God is real and invisibly present in the life of each person. He inspires feelings of faith, trust, love, warmth, and welcome.
  • -In John 1:1 We hear “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”  The essence of God was incarnated and made man through the Blessed Virgin Mary, taking a physical body in the person of Jesus, our Lord and Messiah. After his Ascension to Heaven, Jesus changes his physical presence, but not reality. At the last supper he consecrated bread and wine transforming them into his body, his blood, and his divinity to give us food for eternal life.  The bread that we break is communion with the body of Christ and the cup of wine that we bless is communion with the blood of Christ.

 

  • – “I am the living Bread that comes down from heaven,” says the Lord; “Whoever eats this bread will live forever.”  Hallelujah..

 

  • -We commemorate our 91st Parish Anniversary on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.   I invite you to join us by visiting the Blessed Sacrament online on Facebook and spending one hour with us in Spanish every Tuesday and in English every Thursday from 10 am to 11 am. You can also follow us on Facebook where you can pray the Holy Rosary on Fridays at 6:00 pm in English and at 7:00 pm in Spanish. We pray to God for the well-being of our faith community and in thanksgiving for all the priests who have served at Blessed Sacrament throughout the years.

 

  • -If you have pictures and memories of our Parish over the years we invite you to share them with us to post on our web page. You may send them to the Parish office; they will enrich our history.

 

  • Please receive my prayers and a special blessing as I complete, on June 30th, my first year of service as Parish Administrator.  I give thanks to God for your presence and your generosity.

 

  • -Let’s remember the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus next Friday, June 19th.

JUNIO 14 DOMINGO DEL SANTISIMO CUERPO Y SANGRE DE CRISTO.—

“El Señor los alimento con flor de harina y los sació con miel silvestre”

  • –Nuestra vida humana está poblada de presencias visibles o invisibles. Dios de manera invisible está real y presente en la vida de cada persona y nos inspira sentimientos de confianza, de fe, de cobijo y acogida entrañable.

 

  • –En Juan 1,1 y ss. vemos como la esencia de Dios se encarnó y se hizo hombre a través de María Santísima, tomando así, un cuerpo palpable y tangible en Jesús, nuestro Señor y Mesías. Tras la Ascensión al Cielo Jesús cambia de signo, pero no de realidad, pues en la última cena consagró en el pan y en el vino su cuerpo, su sangre y su divinidad, para dársenos como alimento de vida eterna; por lo tanto, El cáliz de la bendición que bendecimos, ¿No es comunión con la sangre de Cristo? Y el pan que partimos, ¿No es comunión con el cuerpo de Cristo?

 

  • Yo soy el Pan vivo bajado del cielo, dice el Señor; el que coma de este pan vivirá para siempre. Aleluya.
  • Con esta Fiesta conmemoramos nuestro 91 Aniversario Parroquial. Les invito durante esta semana la exposición del Santísimo Sacramento online en Facebook dedicando a hora Santa que celebramos en español los días martes y en inglés los días jueves de 10 am a 11 am. También a través de Facebook el rezo del Santo Rosario Los viernes a las 6:00 pm en inglés y 7:00 pm en español. Roguemos a Dios por el bienestar de nuestra comunidad y por todos los sacerdotes que hemos laborado arduamente en pro de esta linda comunidad a lo largo de estos años.
  • Si tienen recuerdos y memorias de sus familias en relación a nuestra parroquia y quieren compartirlas con la comunidad en el boletín, pueden hacerlas llegar a la oficina parroquial para enriquecer así, nuestra historia.
  • Reciban con mis oraciones una bendición especial como Administrador encargado al cumplir este 30 de junio mi Primer año de servicio entre todos ustedes, a quienes, y agradezco por vuestra presencia y generosidad en cada momento. Recordemos el próximo viernes 19 de junio la fiesta del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.
