SUNDAY, May 23th 2021
“As the Father has sent me, so have I sent you”.
- Last night we celebrated with great joy the Solemn Vigil
of the Holy Spirit and today we come to close with a golden
clasp the liturgical circle of Easter 2021, through which we
exalt the Name of the Lord and conclude with a series of very
successful Easter Celebrations: The reception of the sacraments
at the Easter Vigil for a group of Adults from the RCIA program,
then the Celebration of First Communions for the Children of
our CCD program and today apart from the good number of
Baptized week by week. We will have at the 6:00 pm Mass the
Reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation for another good
number of Adults, etc. Tomorrow on the commemoration of
Mary Help of Christians, May 24, the psalter resumes its course
with the Ordinary Time of the Liturgy which will extend until
Evening Prayer on the First Sunday of Advent, November 28.
- Today we are reminded that we were baptized in the
same Spirit, who renews the face of the earth and who was
given today as a gift to the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin,
to strengthen them to go in the name of the Lord, to obtain
the forgiveness of sins and to sow the Seed of the Kingdom in
the whole world. From today at the end of the last Mass, the
Paschal Candle is carried in procession to the Baptismal font
where it should remain for the rest of the liturgical year and
will only be lit every time we have Baptisms, Memorial Masses
or Funerals.
- What else can we say today according to the second
reading of the day: “I exhort you to live according to the
demands of the Spirit; thus, you will not be carried away by the
selfish disorder of man”. Let us remember that if the Holy Spirit
is within us, we will surely not give in or offend God, as we did
on other occasions. “When the Comforter is come, whom I will
send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceeded from the Father, he shall testify of me and you.”
- In conclusion, we can say that truth in the Church is
the work of the Holy Spirit; no one, therefore, can arrogate
to himself this action which demands humility and constant
attention to the inspirations of the Lord.

“Como el Padre me ha enviado, así los envió Yo”
- Anoche celebramos con mucha Alegría la Solemne
Vigilia del Espíritu Santo y hoy Venimos a cerrar con broche
de oro el círculo litúrgico de la Pascua del 2021, por medio de
la cual exaltamos el Nombre del Señor y concluimos con una
serie de Celebraciones Pascuales muy exitosas como fueron: La
recepción de los sacramentos en la Vigilia Pascual para un grupo
de Adultos del programa de RICA, luego la Celebración de las
Primeras Comuniones de los Niños de nuestro programa de CCD
y hoy aparte del buen numero de Bautizados semana a semana.
Tenemos en la Misa de las 6:00 pm la Recepción del Sacramento
de la Confirmación para otro buen Numero de Adultos, etc.
Mañana en la conmemoración de María Auxiliadora, 24 de
mayo, el salterio reanuda su curso con el tiempo Ordinario de
la Liturgia que se extenderá hasta la oración vespertina del
Primer domingo de Adviento, el día 28 de noviembre.
- Hoy se nos recuerda que fuimos Bautizados en el mismo
Espíritu, el Defensor, que renueva la faz de la tierra y el cual se
les dio hoy como don a los Apóstoles y a la Stma. Virgen, para
fortalecerlos y así ir en nombre del Señor, a conseguir el perdón
de los pecados y a sembrar la Semilla del Reino en el mundo
entero. Desde hoy al finalizar la última Misa, el Cirio Pascual se
lleva en procesión hasta la fuente del Bautismo en donde debe
permanecer por el resto del año litúrgico y solo se encenderá
cada vez que tengamos Bautizos, Misas Memoriales de difuntos
o Funerales.
- ¿Qué más podemos decir hoy según la segunda lectura
del día? “Los exhorto a que vivan de acuerdo con las exigencias
del Espíritu; así no se dejaran arrastrar por el desorden egoísta
de hombre”. Recordemos que si el Espíritu “““Santo está
dentro de nosotros, de seguro no claudicamos ni ofendemos
a Dios, como en otras ocasiones lo hicimos. “Cuando venga el
Consolador, que yo les enviaré a ustedes de parte del Padre, el
Espíritu de la verdad que procede del Padre, él dará testimonio
de mí y ustedes”.
- Para concluir podemos decir que la verdad en la Iglesia es
obra del Espíritu Santo; nadie pues, puede arrogarse de esta
acción que nos exige humildad y una atención constante a las
inspiraciones del Señor. Fraternal Saludo de Pentecostés, para
