From the Pastor Desk –
“WE HAVE COME FROM THE EAST TO WORSHIP THE KING”
- Today we bless God because we have been freed from
our sins and shadows of death and we live the full and luminous
reality of the Salvation that Christ has acquired for us. His Word is
grace, it is called and it is liberation from our entanglements and
ailments.
- In the Gospel of the day, the prophecy of Isaiah, which
spoke of a light brought by the Messiah, is referred by the evangelist
to very concrete and immediate things: The proclamation of the
Gospel of the Kingdom, made by Jesus, was accompanied by
operative gestures of liberation and healing of the illnesses and
infirmities of the people. “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand”
- The beginning of the ministry of Jesus in Galilee, narrates
the first reading, begins when the people who lived in darkness,
saw a great light and in this light is God, as the one who comes to
announce liberation to the oppressed and to supplant the most
humiliated; thus he removed the evil that invades us when God
is not in our heart; hence, the responsorial psalm “The Lord is my
light and my salvation”.
- Paul exhorts us in the second reading to always seek unity
and not to be divided. To be united in the same mind and feeling.
How important this short invitation is for all of us now, in a world
as divided as the one we live in. What a pity that we can’t all sit
at the table together because we have racial, political or class
differences. Etc.
- Let us remember that our time in this world is very short
and that we cannot remain stagnant because we live without God
and without positive projects. Let us take advantage of this time
for the upbringing and good education of our children, forging
them ideals that will help them to Grow, Mature and Learn more
and more in their tasks and performance.

Desde el escritorio del Padre Gabriel Toro:
“JESÚS SE ESTABLECIÓ EN CAFARNAÚM”
- Hoy bendecimos a Dios porque hemos sido liberados de
nuestros pecados y sombras de muerte y vivimos la realidad plena y
luminosa de la Salvación que nos ha adquirido Cristo. Su Palabra es
gracia, es llamada y es liberación de nuestros enredos y dolencias
- En el evangelio del día, la profecía de Isaías que hablaba
de una luz aportada por el Mesías, es referida por el evangelista a
cosas muy concretas e inmediatas: La proclamación del evangelio
del reino, hecha por Jesús, iba acompañada de gestos operativos
de liberación y curación de las enfermedades y dolencias del pueblo.
“Convertíos porque está cerca el Reino de los Cielos”.
- El inicio del ministerio de Jesús en Galilea, narra la primera
lectura se inicia cuando el pueblo que vivía en tinieblas, vio una gran
luz y en esta está Dios, como el que viene a anunciar la liberación a
los oprimidos y suplantar a los más humillados; así apartó el mal
que nos invade cuando Dios no está en nuestro corazón; de ahí, el
salmo responsorial “El Señor es mi Luz y mi Salvación”.
- Pablo nos exhorta en la segunda lectura para que
busquemos siempre la unidad y no andemos divididos. Estar bien
unidos en un mismo pensar y sentir. Que importante esta corta
invitación para todos nosotros ahora, en un mundo tan dividido
como el que tenemos. Que pena que no nos podamos sentar a la
mesa todos juntos porque tenemos diferencias raciales, políticas o
de clases sociales. Etc.
- Recordemos que nuestro paso por este mundo es muy
corto y que no podemos quedarnos estancados por vivir sin Dios y
sin proyectos positivos. Aprovechemos este tiempo para la crianza
y la buena educación de nuestros niños, forjándoles ideales que les
ayuden a Crecer, Madurar y Aprender más y más en sus tareas y
desempeño.
- Recordemos que nuestro paso por este mundo es muy
corto y que no podemos quedarnos estancados por vivir sin Dios y
sin proyectos positivos. Aprovechemos este tiempo para la crianza
y la buena educación de nuestros niños, forjándoles ideales que les
ayuden a Crecer, Madurar y Aprender más y más en sus tareas y
desempeño. - Siempre serán recordados en mis Oraciones con Gratitud y
