“SOLEMNITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
KING OF THE UNIVERSE”

  • The feast of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, was
established by Pope Pius XI in March 1925 due to the many
anticlerical monarchies in Europe. The title of Jesus as King
of kings is re-valued, so we recognize him in all the world’s
states. After the Second Vatican Council, this feast took
more importance for Good Friday; because only from the
Faith we affirm that JESUS is the Lord of the world and men.
The first reading highlights the vision of the prophet Daniel
about the eternal dominion that does not pass, a kingdom that
has no end; hence the response to the responsorial psalm: “The
    Lord reigns clothed in majesty.”

  • In the second reading, the image of Christ appears
there, in the fullness of life where he awaits us. He is the
Omega point, to whom all creation converges and in whom
the whole of human history will have a glorious end. Our hope
is alive and active, for we all long to live with God eternally.
Celebrate the feast of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe,
recognizing him as the witness of truth, as the liberator from
all the slavery of sin, as the Lord of the world ad humanity. “I
am King, and that is why I have come into the world, to be a
    witness to the truth.

  • On Thursday, November 25 (THANKSGIVING DAY), after
the Bilingual Mass to be celebrated at 9 am, there will be a small
sharing in the Valero Hall by all the parish groups and Father
Gabriel. (We will have music, raffle 50% 50% and something else.
In charge of youth ministry) We will be together until 11:30
am, and then we will go to share with our families. You can
bring something from our home countries to enrich our Latin
    heritage.

  • We need male and female volunteers for this Friday and
Saturday for the Christmas decorations around the parish from
9 am until the evening, leaving all the decorations organized for
the Christmas opening ceremony on December 7.

  • Necesitamos algunos voluntarios hombres y mujeres
