Parishioners can now continue to support their parish from the convenience of their home computer, phone or tablet by using the new Parish Support webpage established by Blessed Sacrament Church in Jackson Hts, Queens ,NY.
Parishes cannot exist without their weekly collections. Pastors still have bills to pay, but the cancellation of public Masses to protect people from Coronavirus has significantly reduced their offertory income.
Our new webpage, which can be reached by clicking the “Donations” button , allows anyone to designate a one-time or recurring gift to their parish and to make that payment by credit card or electronic transfer.
The payment system on the page is safe and secure. The money goes directly to our parish.
“In most cases, weekly collections are the only source of funds for parish operations,” . “We ask everyone to prayerfully consider continuing their support during this difficult time.”
Most parishes have the ability to accept electronic donations, and more are getting the capability every day.
Even though our giving link is secure, anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable with online giving is encouraged to continue to send their envelopes directly to our parish at the mailing address.
“Healthy parish communities will play important roles during this crisis, and perhaps even more importantly, after this crisis passes,” “We urge all of us to remain connected in prayer and in support of our parishes.”
